I recently just purchased the rig metal triple screen mount, and I’ve got to say it was a joy to assemble! I got two more of these which are awesome to complete the setup!
Sweet. I took a chance and bought the used acceptable one for $285. We'll see how it goes. I'm excited I think this'll be a huge upgrade from even my current best monitor https://amazon.com/gp/product/B088YN9LBK/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (which the HDR on basically doesn't work for)
If you're already using 150% scaling with a 27 inch 1080p display, then you might have to scaled as much as 200% with a 32inch display at 4k, or more. For me, a 27inch 4k display is small but comfortable at 150%, so for you that would probably mean 200+.
4K will definitely improve text clarity, but everything will feel smaller. However due to the monitor size increase and resolution increase, you will have more screen real estate to work with. My feeling is text clarity will definitely help you, clarify is almost more important to me than actual font size.
A better compromise might be a 32inch QHD panel, 2560x1440 LG 32inch QHD
I got this 1440p LG for pretty cheap https://www.amazon.com/dp/B088YN9LBK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_pWzeGbW7QFK4H
It has freesync.... Not sure if that will work with nvidia gpu? I think it will but gsync doesnt with amd??
Anyway.... Ill have to test the 4k with crt shaders on my main desktop setup. I just couldnt afford it for this cab after $600+ spent on rgb buttons and led controllers and other odds and ends recentlly. 😣
At that size I'd recommend a monitor instead. Small TVs are usually trash, but monitors around 350 would be pretty good. Maybe this one if it is available in the UK: https://www.amazon.com/LG-32QN600-B-32-Inch-Monitor-FreeSync/dp/B088YN9LBK/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=32+inch+monitor&qid=1609814886&sr=8-2
I just bought the new Mac mini too and also went into a rabbit whole but maybe not as much as you did. I currently have a late 2012 iMac and that display is 2K (QHD) which I believe is good enough for day to day use. That’s why I went with the LG32QN600-B on Amazon (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B088YN9LBK/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_S8n4FbX1BRWFF)
This is the monitor I just got a couple days ago -
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B088YN9LBK?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
But in Windows setting in the display setup it list these as the top resolution settings -
3840x2160
2560x1600
2560x1440 (recommended)

When I change the settings there is a big difference between the top setting and the recommended setting.

I recently added an electric sit stand desk to my setup and I think that I am complete now. I've linked everything in my setup below except for the keyboards since the parts for them came from several different places.
As for the desk and monitor both of these are the best bang for your buck in regards to quality/cost ratio and offer everything you need and nothing you don't. This setup is primarily geared towards work from home and Google Stadia occasional gaming. If you have any questions let me know!

You'll want to check the max refresh rate in the published specs before you go that route. Maybe split the difference and go 1440p (QHD)? 32" QHD!

LG 32QN600-B 32-Inch QHD (2560 x 1440) IPS Monitor with HDR 10, AMD FreeSync with Dual HDMI Inputs, Black
I this in my cart at the moment I'm having a hard time picking which one.

6 months ago I did a bunch of research and got decided on this one: https://www.amazon.com/LG-32QN600-B-32-Inch-Monitor-FreeSync/dp/B088YN9LBK
I wanted 1440 resolution for gaming and design, as I do both. It doesn't have a shiny surface. I also dislike that. $250. I'm very happy with this purchase.
Hope I'm not too late to the party! Here's a free nickel if it's still valuable:
32"+24" would not be too much. Get the 32", you'll be happier for it. There is a *massive* difference in experience just between a 27" and a 24". Viewsonic is an excellent brand. There is also this guy if you want to save a buck. But I firmly believe in 1. Dual monitoring. and
My next buy will undoubtedly be a 32" LG or the 32" Viewsonic here. It's just so so so worth it. We used these monitors at a startup I worked at, and I got TWO for dual monitoring. I cannot overstate how positive the experience was.
This Viewsonic just seems like such an incredible product for the price. Now is the time to buy a 2K monitor. Wait 4-5 years, get a 4K monitor for the same price and make this 2K monitor your secondary. If you end up getting this 32" monitor, I would be quite surprised to see you regret the decision.
I say return the 24" and get the 32". It's less than $100 upgrade, and the payoff is immeasurable between a rinky dinky 24" and an immersive 32".
