Yep, and I don't disagree with that. I'm simply arguing that there is likely to be many intelligent beings out there with a similar body form to us. Digits or some other analogous structure for the fine manipulation of tools are pretty important, and too many limbs requires too much brain power to control. Intelligent clouds of gas or 20-legged space farers is highly unlikely, if not just impossible.

And I'm not alone in holding this opinion. Plenty of biologists tend to agree that aliens will look more similar to us than people expect. Of course, that's "boring" to hear though. People would rather believe in intelligent planets. More if you're interested
