I had the battery problem. I purchased this battery pack and charger from Amazon and love it. I recently went to an aquarium with my family and took lots of pictures. Oh, my battery died, no problem, let me swap in my new one. Or when I'm at home, and realize I didn't charge my battery, oh let me swap in the other one.
I just checked Amazon and there in stock for the 2 pack.
Here is the link for the Anker Batteries
Hopefully they restock soon. :(
Mine does it on Lollipop too. But only when my battery is below 45%. Going to get Anker battery this week from Amazon.
Certainly sounds like a battery issue.
Can you boot to recovery or download mode or it still reboots in those modes?
Do you have an external battery charger you can try charging the battery with to see if that makes a difference?
You can get a couple of Anker batteries and an external charger for ~$30
https://www.amazon.com/Anker-3220mAh-Replacement-Batteries-Samsung/dp/B00Q4NQQA0
Apparently not. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00Q4NQQA0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_7MjoybF6M7HHE But it was out of stock before for me before then I saw that it was in stock again a month or so later and I ordered it. The best thing to do is watch the item. It's worth watching for it.
>However I had forgotten my Note 4 was on its last legs, with a crummy charging port and almost no battery life anymore. So I'm not sure it will last until next year.
My note 4 stock battery was on its last legs, and this brought battery life back to original stock levels. Because you can charge one while using the other, you never have to plug in.
Spend the $40 now and wait to get the one you want, or spend the $$$$$ now to get one that'll hold you off for the interim. Up to you.
Mine used to have the same problem. I solved it by going into Best Buy, going to the Samsung booth and had them do a software reset (took 5 minutes). I also started rotating my batteries. I purchased the Anker wall charging set. I find it very nice to have 3 fully charged batteries and swapping them out throughout the day when one dies. It gives a little break to one battery being under constant strain. Overall i have gotten longer charges out of my batteries. I hope this helps!
Doh. Still waking up. Like I said, after dropping money on stuff I couldn't use last time, I'm going to be anal about double checking, sorry. This would be what you recommended?. It is compatible with the 910V it says so it looks like I should be good to go. If I could find them for $25 though it would be amazeballs.
It does, how much exactly is uncertain. My battery got bad like yours after about a year (using fast charging) as well so that might be the issue. I would explore everything else you can before you decide to buy a new battery. If you decide to go the new battery route these Anker batteries have served me well. I only use one at a time so I have a fresh spare for when my current ones life becomes less than satisfactory.
Just get some new batteries. Anker is the best. I bough this https://www.amazon.com/Anker-3220mAh-Replacement-Batteries-Samsung/dp/B00Q4NQQA0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1469194225&sr=8-1&keywords=note+4+anker and the label started coming off, I emailed them and they just mailed me a whole new kit no questions asked.
I also recommend force closing Snapchat when not using it for longer than an hour or so. It sometimes randomly starts using like 25-35% of the cpu just chilling in the background.
I'm using the Anker batteries since the stock one went to shit, these are only a couple of months old. https://www.amazon.com/Anker-3220mAh-Replacement-Batteries-Samsung/dp/B00Q4NQQA0/ref=sr_1_1?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1469823970&sr=1-1&keywords=anker+note+4
This is the one I bought last year and has been working great.
It came with the external charger and two batteries for $24. It's now priced at $30, but I know there are ones that only come with one batter and external charger. The charger also has a USB port so I can charge one battery in the wall charger and one battery while my phone is plugged in.

If you are sure it's a genuine Samsung battery, the battery may not be your problem unless you also got a bad Samsung battery. I'm not sure you can get them in Australia, but here's the link on Amazon. Is your Snapchat updated?
I'm looking at this battery bundle from Anker ( I LOVE Anker anything): https://www.amazon.com/Anker-3220mAh-Replacement-Batteries-Samsung/dp/B00Q4NQQA0/ref=sr_1_1?s=wireless&ie=UTF8&qid=1465838440&sr=1-1&keywords=note+4+anker+battery
Will I be able to use the stock back plate? Its a little bent and distorded, but it still works.I know looking around ( searched on Amazon "Anker note 4 battery", i saw a lot of Anker's batteries come with another backplate
This happened to a buddy of mine who has a Note 3. I'd say your best bet is to buy a second battery and an external charger like this one (that's what he did). I also have these batteries and charger and have no complaints.
They were on sale when I bought them. They are $30 right now.
I love them. I swap my battery every morning and if needed at night. I never plug my phone in. I've had them since August and no issues. The NFC works well too. I use Android pay a few times a week.
can't help you with the warranty but you could always buy some of these:
http://www.amazon.com/Anker-3220mAh-Replacement-Batteries-Samsung/dp/B00Q4NQQA0
I used them on my note 4 and GS2 and they are great. very useful to have as a backup as well. They also sell a single battery for 19.99 as well, but i like the wall charger.
Aww man, that's a way better deal! https://www.amazon.ca/Anker-Batteries-T-Mobile-18-Month-Warranty/dp/B00Q4NQQA0/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1459213408&sr=8-4&keywords=note+4
It's great because you can charge the spare while you're using the phone.
This used to be $24. I guess they went up in price given the orders they had. Great customer service.
Time for a new battery then. Mine did this until i replaced it.
I got this: http://www.amazon.com/Anker-Replacement-Batteries-T-Mobile-18-Month/dp/B00Q4NQQA0. I get like 4h30min/5h of SOT, and i can go for like 3 days if i carry the spare fully charged.
The Anker Note 4 battery kit is a sweet deal. It comes with two batteries plus a charger.
$25.00!

Direct from anker
I got this and I like it so far. One of the pins came off the charger but Anker sent me a replacement at no charge.
Or for $32 you could get two batteries and a charger. http://www.amazon.com/Anker-3220mAh-Replacement-Batteries-Samsung/dp/B00Q4NQQA0
I was interested in the zero lemon but decided to go with this instead. I figured it would be just as useful and half the cost.
Get a charger and extra batteries: http://www.amazon.ca/Anker-Batteries-T-Mobile-18-Month-Warranty/dp/B00Q4NQQA0
This was the reason I got a Note 4 instead of a a Note 5. Excuse the Canadian link, but you get the idea.
http://www.samsung.com/us/mobile/cell-phones-accessories/EP-CN910IBUSTA
Should work for all models of the note 4, but you'll want to double check just in case, since I don't have much interest in wireless charging.
Alternatively, you can get charger for spare batteries that will let you charge the batteries and pop them back into your note 4 if your port ever breaks.
I don't know how you accidentally sit on your phone when charging it though XD
This is one of the few I've bought off amazon. They perform almost exactly like the samsung ones'. This is also the pack hes talking about, and it MSRP's for 25$> this seller is just a down-selling prick. http://www.amazon.com/Anker-Replacement-Batteries-T-Mobile-18-Month/dp/B00Q4NQQA0/
If you want the stock OEM batteries, they are going to cost a bit more because they got scalped using 50% off coupons that came with the note 4 on launch. The charger "coffin" and 1x battery are usually for 30$. If they have them in stock at the samsung store, see if you can find a 50% code with registering your note 4 w/ Samsung rewards. http://www.amazon.com/Samsung-Galaxy-Battery-Charger-Replacement/dp/B00NQG2XNC/
Im not sure if the 13$ is for a legit OEM one, as they are easily faked. I personally have 5 batteries. 2 Anker, 3 Oem ones, 2 of those oem came with the coffin. The coffin packaging was legit and the batch numbers matched the one that came with my phone, so I knew they were legit. The Anker ones are great, just be aware that 1 of my 2 is a little bit "thicker" than the oem batteries. The paper on the outside isn't that metal stuff, so it does make the back of the phone tough to get on if you have a wireless coil. But without a coil, it's fine. Just a tiny bit more pressure, no reshaping of the back.
Tldr: Anker = Good, OEM = Best . Anker ones are little bit thicker because of the wrapping.
Fast Charging damages the battery and phone. It's been told many times. Faster Charging = More Heat. There is no 2 ways around it. I would suggest 2 things
Buy a New Battery, 25$ can get you 2 batteries and a wall charger If you don't want to drop 25$, 13$ for a battery by itself. I highly recommend these as I have the dual pack and 3 OEM batteries and they have the same battery life and the quality is great
Drain your current battery to 0 or as low as possible. Charge it all the way to 100% (cycle the battery). It may help it calibrate itself. (so it doesn't die at 15%). This method is a crap shoot and usually works 20% of the time.
Anker 2 batts and external charger $24.99 prime
