Acquired myself a birth year (1984) 5513 sub. Absolute grail watch for me and I’m over the moon with it. Has a pretty wild spider dial that shows up in certain light. I know this is kind of the most basic watch you can own but they are classic for a reason. I’m excited to add all of my own scratches and dents to it as it puts a lot of hours on the wrist.

I was a bit worried that the spider dial would be really obnoxious but honestly you almost never see it and it just flashes for a split second under certain light conditions which is really interesting. Most people prefer the “tool” look of the matte maxi dials but I really love this transition into the glossy dial with the white gold indexes.

My other watch is an old Speedmaster MKII which feels like such a monster compared to this. Slowly getting used to not having to wind my watch every day as well, will need to find something else to fidget with when wearing this one.

I just graduated from high school and I wanted to get myself a small watch reminiscent of those generic clocks they have in all the classrooms. The Timex Easy Reader was the cheapest and classiest looking option.
It's exactly as the name describes, an easy reader. The dial is a very light silver which I'd rather be plain white but oh well. Day-date is a nice touch. Indiglo is also nice. It's just a nice little 35 mm watch. I also put a new strap on it if anybody was wondering.

The real pro tip. I have small wrists and if I bought any old men's watch I saw, it would typically be ginormous on me. My forearms are beefier these days after years of deadlifting, but my wrists have stayed the same. Slim watches are the way to go. My everyday watch is the Timex Easy Reader and it's 35mm. For a dress watch I would go even more minimal, or wear none at all. Something like this is similar to what I have, which is a black leather Bulova watch. Amazon has a lot of watches and you can filter by case diameter in search.

Can't recommend the Simple Wishes pumping bra enough. I just pull up my shirt, unclip or pull down whatever I have on as a bra or undershirt, and zip the bra on. It takes like ten seconds and allows me to get a ton of work done while pumping. It's around $30 and has held up really well for me. They sell the same one at Target (branded as Lansinoh) but it doesn't come with the extra extender thing included like the Amazon one does.

When my SIL had her baby a month after I had mine, she unexpectedly had to start exclusively pumping her first week PP, and I bent over backwards to deliver her one of these bras the day she started. That's how essential it is to me! She bought a second one the next day.

Aside from pumping bras, you could also consider Pumpin' Pals. They allow you to lean back when you're pumping instead of having to awkwardly hunch forward. I haven't tried them myself but I've heard good things.

The tote looks just like any bag, the pump stays right in the side of the bag all the time, super convenient. Enough room in the bag for extra batteries, the plug, lots of bottles, tops, cleaning supplies etc.

I used this with two kids, and I took it to a law firm constantly where I work and no one ever had any idea it was my pump. It also comes with a little cooler and ice pack for the bottles you pump, which is also discreet and can go right into the fridge.

I also bought a pumping bra on amazon, which held both of the pumps up to my breasts making the whole thing hands free and able to pump both sides at once. Completely necessary, a lifesaver.

You can never go wrong with a Timex Weekender or EasyReader. Those two are the most recommended on here, and you can probably find them cheap on Amazon. However, you would probably have better and more in-depth advice over at /r/watches.

You can leave the padding in for some more coverage or take it out for more flexibility in pulling the cup down. I've been wearing the same set of 3 since I was pregnant and they're holding up well.

Nursing tanks were also great especially in the beginning. Target has some decent ones, but I didn't love them, they were cut a bit narrow at the top for me. Nobody really wants nursing boob side boob lol.

I also experimented with the one up one down method. Basically you layer a tank under your shirt. Shirt goes up, tank goes down. You can make it a one stop shop with a nursing tank or just use a loose cami that can slide down or even just live under your boobs. This way your stomach is covered. Baby's head will cover most of the exposed boob as well.

My babe was born in June in the south so it was super hot to be wearing two shirts all the time. Most often, I would use a cover or a muslin and just hike my shirt up, unclip my bra and be half naked under the cover.

I have these and I really like them. I'm 6 feet tall and they're supposedly 30 inches before stretching. They go far above my knees, which is much better then the other kind I got (a pack of 4 that barely went to my knees). Hope this helps

Spectra and Medela pumps are both pretty reliable. There’s one called Willow that is a wearable pump but otherwise people often buy a hands-free pumping bra separately (this was the best one that I used). Freezer bags are sold separately as well and doesn’t matter which brand, doesn’t have to be the same brand as your pump

Buy yourself THIS maternity belt (highly reviewed on amazon). You'll thank yourself as you get bigger. I wear it every day and if I ever forget I can tell immediately in the difference in pain. Before my bump was super big I just wore it when doing a lot of walking/standing, now I wear it all the time.

I have been going to physical therapy throughout the pregnancy and that has helped a lot. My therapist is actually a prenatal/pelvic floor PT specialist, too. I have pregnancy approved excercises that I do to strengthen my back and hip muscles, which help a lot but don't get me wrong - you're in for some pain and discomfort that will likely be worse than the average pregnant person's because of your situation. My physical therapist also recommended I get this Sacroiliac joint belt as because of my herniation my pelvis is misaligned (or maybe my pelvis misaligned caused my herniation, who knows) and therefore she said I was at extra risk for SPD. Lo and behold, I started getting SPD symptoms as early as 11 weeks!

So now, I wear the SI joint belt and the maternity belly brace daily. Before the past month or so, I just wore them when I was walking/standing a lot (my husband and I refer to the combo as my 'sausage casing,' it's hilarious).

If you go month to month, it costs $30. I think you'd get a much, much better bang for your buck buying a Timex Weekender on Amazon:

Flanges are typical on the more traditional breast pumps that insurances cover. I personally used a spectra and highly recommend it. I've heard mixed reviews on the willow/elvie and they're unfortunately not often covered by insurance.

Yes, they're mine. Although be careful about putting the curse of binding on them. I've started wearing them more often because they're actually quite comfortable but the curse has made it a little annoying to go out in public and take baths with.

I haven't figured out a solution for working out but since I am only walking the dog at this point I have been okay without one. I can always squeeze back into a sports bra for necessary if the energy magically comes to me.

My husband bought me on early on from Amazon after it was suggested by my doctor. It's a simple wrap with a velcro closure in the back. It's one size fits all and I felt it was a bit snug initially, but it's stretched and definitely helped, particularly on days where I have been out and about and more active. I ordered a breast pump through my insurance with the help of aeroflow and also applied through them for a belly band that my insurance covered (I'm in the US). So my usual bras started getting uncomfortable in the third trimester (actually they got uncomfortable the second I got pregnant, but whatever). I started wearing these cheap bras from Amazon, which have removable pads and not-great support but at that point I did not care.

I wore the cheap bras until I had to start thinking about returning to work at 5 months pp, at which point I measured myself properly and got a few new expensive supportive nursing bras at Bare Necessities (I did pump at work but I used the Elvie, so a nursing bra was all I needed).

At 16 months pp I still have and wear the cheap bras on weekends--they're also nice for sleep. The lining of the removable pads came off when I accidentally put them in the dryer, which is annoying but they still do their job and now I don't bother separating them in the wash and toss them in the dryer anyway.

I used this one, it's around $25 .. helped a bit for walking around during the day (I was averaging 3miles ish a day,.working up until t3 days before I had my son) , but I still couldn't step to the side or more of a shuffle step at all without terrible pain. But did take a lot of pressure off so i didn't have to "hold myself" lol

Weirdly, Every once in a while I'd hear and feel a pop from my I guess my pubic bone. That was SO painfu, but followed by maybe 20-30 minutes of no pain at all. I just tried really hard to not walk at any angle just forward and small steps towards the end. Easier said than done. Getting up from sitting or laying down was always the worst

I also am 40DDD. Not completely wire free, but very portable- I used the Ameda Mya pump. It is small enough to put in your pjs pocket and is battery operated once charged so you can walk around with it. The only “wires” would be the tubing from the pump to the flanges.

Not perfect but I could easily put a shirt (or not) over the whole operation and walk around and get stuff done. The bra held the flanges securely in place.

Also wanted to clarify what I said about working your core. Some core exercises, i.e. those that work the trans abdominal muscles are fine! But traditional ab work, like crunches, bicycles, anything with twisting can stress your abs too much. Like other posters I’ve also been told to “hug my baby in” and subtly engage my deep abdominal muscles. Hope this helps ❤️

You will likely be slower and need more breaks. Like you said - lots of snacks and water. Even though you might not have much of a belly by then, I would recommend taking a support band or belt like this one. I creeped on your profile and saw you’re about 6 weeks post partum? I’d recommend getting a stretchy one for comfort while your milk flow regulates. Started to wear them in the third trimester, nursed for 22mo and continued to wear them for a while longer since they are comfy and my old bras weren't (never going back to underwire). Bought some new normal bras that I wore for like a month before getting pregnant again and went back to the nursing bras pretty quick lol.

I ended up buying sets in two different sizes which is also nice to have 🙂

Don't just get the because they're cute, get the right size. Measure your leg, find out how high you want the thigh highs, and look for the right size at decent quality

Ok, so. Don't just get "nice" thigh highs. I wanted thigh highs that went far above the knee, right up to the diaper. I measured and searched far. I knew I wanted 70cm high thigh highs, found these rated at 75cm, and a commenter saying they're much shorter so I took a gamble and it paid off.

I'm currently 29 weeks pregnant and have used two different support bands. I was having issues with pelvic pain while standing for long periods of time or while walking for short periods. Once I started using belly support bands, that pain has been greatly reduced.

1) AZMED Maternity Belt - This one velcros in the back so it is sometimes a struggle to get it adjusted how I want, but it is still the one I grab when both are clean. It feels supportive while still being something I can wear all day regardless of if I'm sitting, standing, or whatever. It's easy to move without unhooking it when I need to pee (which is all the time) so I don't feel like I'm fighting with it.

2) Motif Medical Pregnancy Support Band - This one velcros in the front and feels more firm in its support, but I don't gravitate toward it. My biggest issue has been that it works great when I'm standing/walking, then rides up any time I bend over or sit down. It's also a pain to take it off when I need to pee.

I've also seen people recommend the style with a strap that goes over the bump, but I haven't tried that style.

Don’t skimp on maternity clothes, you will really want to feel comfortable and can wear your third trimester clothes the few weeks after giving birth, if not longer.

I believe that our last specialty shop has closed. We had two back in the day but I haven't seen anything from them in years. If it helps, for my last baby I wore regular nursing camisoles or bras and then slid this on when pumping at work. It was pretty easy to flip down my nursing bra and hook this on.
