I loved my mx518. It served me very well for over a decade. It actually still works but was slowly dying. I replaced mine with the g400s which is supposed to be the same mouse with an upgraded laser. I've been using this one for about 4 months now and it still feels like I took it out of the package yesterday.
The 400s can still be had on Amazon for $77. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BCEK2LA
Is that worth it or should I try out this G Pro like others have recommended. The big noticeable change I see is that the new G Pro does not have an indent for your thumb.
Yeah, the weight is a BIG deal. Dang. So the G400's are what I need to look into? Could you give a link I can only find this.
Logitech G400s for FPS games.
Not sure why it's so pricey on amazon right now. I got mine for $39.99 like two years ago.
I have a Logitech G400 I got from Walmart, it's great and all plastic.
Anything in the Logitech G400 Series is really good.
I'm personally extremely happy with the Logitech G400s.
One of the reasons I like it is because it's a pretty big mouse which suits my big hands. It's also got a nice relaxed grip and is pretty ergonomic. It's cheap and it comes with great software. It has 2 Remappable buttons if you want to use those (I just use them to readjust mouse sensitivity), if you have any other questions about it let me know.
My go-to mouse for EVERYTHING including CAD is the current Logitech G400 Optical Gaming Mouse. I've used this mouse since it used to be the MX518. I've found it to be the most ergonomically comfortable. So much so that I currently own 3 of them and have convinced 3 other people to buy them as well.
It's a wired mouse but I actually prefer that because wireless mice weigh more (due to batteries) and make my hand movements slower.
It has on-the-fly adjustable DPI and just works great.
Logitech G400s (and it's ancestors) is the most comfortable mouse I've ever used. I currently own 4 of them. Amazon claims there is a newer model, the 402, don't fall for it, it's not the same.

Using one right now at work. It's getting old and it's beat up but it's the most comfortable. Logitech G400
A sealed Logitech G400s gaming mouse.
Holy crap, my G5 lasted only 1.5 years or so (the wire at the base of the mouse becomes frayed, same for the G9. Then I got the G700 and that thing has lasted for years since it has a more resilient removable wire.
The G400s and G500s are the latest iteration of the G5/G500/MX500/MX510 shaped gaming mice if you happen to be seeking another one.
The G600 is a good MMO mouse if that's what you need, and the G700s is a superb gaming mouse if you need more buttons but not a number pad adhered to your mouse (the G700s runs data off a wired connection when plugged in).
Can't vouch for their other models aside from the MX Master which is more of a work mouse, and a great one at that.
I found it on Amazon. Next time take a look at PCPartPicker
Mechanical Keyboards kind of have a list of mechanical keyboards by price. However most of the well received mechanical keyboards usually start at the $100 range, even the TLK/60% boards. 60% boards may not be ideal for MMOs.
Some of the keyboards under the $0-$100 list may be hard to find, may not be cherry mx switches, or you might find membrane versions instead.
If you are looking to buy a mechanical keyboard I would strongly suggest saving up a tad bit more and consider Rosewill or Cooler Master.
However right now, on Newegg, it seems like the older version of the previously linked Cooler Master board is available for under 100$, you can choose your choice of cherry blues, browns, or reds. (there may be a price change) An older Corsair Vengance K60 is also priced under 100$, but is only available in cherry reds.
This will not leave much money for a mouse. Usually for $100 you have to pick one or the other.
With mice the Logitech G600 MMO, Logitech G400, and Corsair M65 Vengance come up as well rated for the $50-$60 price range.
If you do not care about mechanical or all this fancy jargon you may hear concerning peripherals, there's this combo bundle. The keyboard is a membrane keyboard though. Reading through the reviews it seems like this set is "good for the price."

The G400s is still on amazon. You could get the G402 or G502 to replace it.
http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G400s-910-003589-Optical-Gaming/dp/B00BCEK2LA this is the exact mouse I got pictures I'll upload them.
Yeah, getting a nicer mouse helps a lot.
I recommend a wired optical mouse (not laser), as all the best mice are wired. The Zowie FK, Razer Deathadder 2013 and Logitech g400s are all great mice, and I'd get one of them.
The Zowie FK is pretty small but has high build quality, and I couldn't find it available anywhere
The Logitech g400s is a great overall mouse, and can be found http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G400s-Optical-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B00BCEK2LA or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104838
The Razer Deathadder 2013 is more comfortable but probably has lower build quality, and can be found http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826153114
Get whichever one looks comfortable to you.
If you don't already have a nice mousepad, I recommend the Steelseries QCK, QCK mini, or QCK+, get the biggest one you can fit next to your keyboard.
If you want a wireless mouse, the only one I've heard recommended is the g700s, and it's a laser mouse (laser inferior)
I'm not a fan of Razer products as they're generally cheap pieces of plastic made to look nice rather than actually being nice in my experience. I'd recommend looking at something like this if you want a nice entry level gaming mouse.
