I have a Logitech G500s, works great for Dota. Has 5 extra buttons, plus you can bind stuff to scroll click right/left. $49 on Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Gaming-Adjustable-Weight-Tuning/dp/B00CJD4HD2
I wouldn't bind stuff for Dota onto the sideways mouse wheel click, though. Especially not if you use the middle mouse button for scrolling. Sometimes when you press the middle button down it registers it as a sideways click too.
I love my Logitech G500s. 3.3 inch middle finger length and it's perfectly sized verging on too big. Been under heavy use since April 2014 and still working perfectly. Might want to look for another retailer than Amazon though, price there has gone up since I bought it.
I've had this mouse for probably 8 years-5 for gaming and then another 3 when I moved it to my work office and replaced my home setup with the G502. Not sure what you mean by metal vs rubber- are you talking about the scroll wheel? If it's metal, it's a very light alloy or just plated. I woulda thought it was plastic, but I never really looked into it.
Personally, I've gotten the best benefit out of the Logitech G500s. I've used the Raptor, other Logitech mice, a basic Microsoft one, a few different Razer mice, and another one I'm blanking on right now.
What I've found is, that as long as you have a decent mouse pad (big and clean), it really comes down to a basic quality of a mouse (high polling rate, wired, etc), and your preferences for mouse weight, grip, and button feedback.
That being said, after lots of experience using many mice over a long period of time (over 8 years), the Logitech G500s is a clear winner for me. I'm a bit of a gaming mice enthusiast and I'd like to try a lot of other ones. I'll probably add the EC1-A to my list of mice I'd like to try out. Thanks for your post. Good luck with your aim training!
Anything with this formfactor from Logitech.
They've been making mice of that form factor on and off for the last ~10 years. Periodically, they'll discontinue it, then bring it back. I've had 3 mice that shape, and they always fit my hand perfectly.
That's a pretty low price for a decent mouse, but I loved the hell out of my G500s for years, and they are on sale at amazon right now for $47. I use a G502 now, the only reason I upgraded was I managed to drop it and slam one of the buttons into unuseability. :(
Logitech G500s Laser Gaming Mouse with Adjustable Weight Tuning https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CJD4HD2/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_82VPwbGHVS1RH
I'm a logitech fanboy though but I'm happy with all their products. They have a newer version of what i linked. It's redesigned but it's mostly the same. Although it has fancy leds. Of course you could also buy the wireless but i don't think it's worth the extra moneys.
I actually have that mouse... (I think this one is called g410s? one with the weigh. I also think that, one I have is does not exist anymore) should I just stick with that?
*Correction One I have is the G500s http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Gaming-Adjustable-Weight-Tuning/dp/B00CJD4HD2/ref=pd_sim_147_3?ie=UTF8&refRID=15YWQ9JWD28NVQ39RT5J and this one does not exist anymore
my friend has this mouse and he really likes it, i've used it a small amount and it seems like a good mouse. It is a wired mouse, although not your preference, i only bring it up because you would like interchangable weights and this is the only one i can think of.
Coming from someone who uses something like a Logitech G500 (although I haven't programmed any of the buttons on the mouse) along with re-binding abilities to letters around WASD, I have to ask: wouldn't your hand cramp up constantly mashing the buttons with your thumb on the Naga? Also, if you have all your keybinds on your mouse, is your left hand strictly for WASD movement, or is there something else?
Weighted Mice Since he did not give you a link I will.
That is the old model. Get the newer much cheaper version to save some money ~~https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Gaming-Adjustable-Weight-Tuning/dp/B00CJD4HD2~~
As pointed out, that is not the correct link for the g502, this is https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00IRHE892/
Talk about bullshit "savings"...
$47 on Amazon > http://smile.amazon.com/Logitech-Gaming-Adjustable-Weight-Tuning/dp/B00CJD4HD2

This is what I have used for the past 2 to 3 years and it's served me quite well. These mice are brothers as far as I can tell, only mine is earlier in the series. I prefer the layout of this mouse, and don't underestimate customizable weights. They definitely make a difference weighted vs non weighted. I'm not a fan of wireless peripherals, too many games with friends where their shit has died and it hasn't been pretty.
