I see absolutely no reason to get this over the G502 Proteus Spectrum which goes on sale for ~$30-$35.
The main (and practically only) benefit to the HERO sensor is that it's very conservative with energy, so it's useful in the new wireless version of the G502 to extend battery life. It won't actually perform any better than the PixArt PMW3366DM sensor that logitech uses in the G502 Proteus Spectrum.
EDIT: For those who want this mouse anyways, it's 90 cents cheaper from Amazon and probably faster shipping.
You can get them on amazon for ~45 bucks with free shipping. So if he's paying for shipping, he'd be getting more like 30-35 bucks for them and the rest would be shipping. That's like maybe 10 bucks profit per mouse? More of a hassle than it's worth.
Always have the option to buy a mouse with more button mapping ability. I know a lot of gamers including myself use a mouse like the G502.
Logitech G502 Hero High Performance Gaming Mouse https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GBZ4Q68/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glc_fabc_RKN-FbNWBQFPY?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
For mouse check out Logitech G502. The wired one. Very happy with the choice.
I use a Logitech G502 Hero. It's pretty good, but my first one had double-click issues on the LMB after a while. My second one hasn't had that problem yet, but it's something to be careful about. It's about the same cost as a Deathadder, a bit less right now on Amazon I believe, but it's up to you if you want to risk a possible LMB issue.
- Having a free-scrolling mouse wheel isn't necessary or particularly useful in D2, but it's definitely nice to have.
- As mentioned by others, the Logitech G502 is a very good option with the ability to swap between standard and zero friction scrolling. If you'd rather have that functionality but in an ambidextrous and wireless package, go with the G503. I've personally owned the wired G502 and really liked it, not to mention that it's a competitive option as far as price is concerned.
Also this mouse is generally regarded as being very good and it has a bunch of programmable buttons if you want some quick access to things in your editing software
You can spend $30 now and have the same issue in a year time if you're lucky. Or you can spend $60 now and have a mouse that will last you 5 years.
The Logitech G502 Hero gaming moose is still on sale for $33 fyi. I picked one up as a backup for my G402. Amazon link below. You can switch to the Special Edition for a few bucks more if you like the silver trim.
Uses the hero sensor. The non-SE version is 50$ here
Is this much better than the wired G502 hero which is like half the price?
Deal of the day for Prime Members: Logitech G502 HERO High Performance Wired Gaming Mouse, HERO 25K Sensor, 25,600 DPI, RGB, Adjustable Weights, 11 Programmable Buttons, On-Board Memory, PC / Mac https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GBZ4Q68/ref=cm_sw_r_apa_i_dl_7N73G15KFY02HM1YRQD8_0

I've got a Logitech G502: https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G502-Performance-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B07GBZ4Q68?ref_=ast_sto_dp
Works pretty well for me; what are you not liking about the Logitech Gs you've used?
The 502 comes in a wireless version too, but why do you prefer wireless? Apparently they can have high latency from what I understand compared to wired. No problem for most people, but for gaming?
It’s literally $35 right now in Amazon.

This is my current mouse. Been using it for about 7 months now and I couldn’t be happier. Multiple buttons, you can adjust the DPI and the weight of the mouse. Highly recommend https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GBZ4Q68/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_BXAXFDRX2HN1QN1P8H1F
I personally have been using the Logitech G502 for several years now. I believe it frequently goes on sale on Amazon for $49-$55 range.
The G502 is probably better for only $10 more. Plus, the lights turn off when you turn your computer off night, which seems like a problem for you after seeing your comment.
Well the 15$ one i used for years when I was first getting into pc gaming was called the zelotes gaming mouse. Its pretty beefy in your hand, but for 15$ you really can't complain. For the best mouse I've ever experienced in my life The Logitech g502 is generally around 60$, but there's a sale on Amazon that has the newer one for only 40$. I have been using the same g502 for 4 years, and the thing is still going strong, I literally cannot recommend this mouse enough, so if you have 40$ id recommend it.
Edit: In case you were looking to buy soon, here's the link for the Logitech g502 Hero! https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G502-Performance-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B07GBZ4Q68/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=g502&qid=1605201924&sr=8-1
I like my logitech g502. Has multiple buttons and extra weights to make it comfortable for you and you can usually find it at a good price. 54 on amazon right now. https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G502-Performance-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B07GBZ4Q68/ref=mp_s_a_1_2?keywords=g502&qid=1570504751&sr=8-2
Refresh rate on Amazon says 60hz.
Right now, you can get the G502 Hero for only $48.59
you're thinking of the wired version, which is currently on sale for $40 on amazon.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GBZ4Q68/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_U_hZ8xEb5QF7QSJ
the "SE" version (basically same hardware with white patterning) was on sale for $25 at best buy over the holidays.
Great mouse. I own both SE and non SE wired version, and so far they feel about the same. I couldn't justify the premium for the wireless version, as the wire didn't bother me that much.
This is standard price on Amazon.

G502 on sale on Amazon for $39.99
Technically it can be purchased from Amazon although you may have duties to pay along with the US to CAD to conversion rates. If you go down to the US often I'm sure you can just find it on the shelves and skip duties.
EDIT: The Amazon page says that it will take a few months to ship. This article states that it releases next month.
G502 Brand New and HyperX Alloy Cherry MX reds. Better then the proprietary romer-g switches Logi uses for their older keyboards. These are just 2 suggestions. If I look more on amazon or bestbuy or whichever american store you can give me, to show how bad of a deal that used "kit" is =)
Edit: If you absolutely want the G502, that is a mouse which is on sale somewhere prob every weekend or so.
What is the difference between this and the G502 on Amazon (https://www.amazon.ca/Logitech-Performance-Gaming-Mouse-910-005469/dp/B07GBZ4Q68) ?
Yooo I can't recommend the G502 strongly enough. At risk of sounding like a shill, Ive used it for a few years after using razer mice, and I absolutely love it. The price is close to what you linked, and it just been solid.
For a perhaps less biased look, check out this video by linus tech tips. As you may have gathered, other subs will be more receptive to questions like this, but hopefully you see this and it helps!

Cyber Monday sale, $80 --> $30
You can definitely save some money as your requirement don't need 1.5L. If this is you new setup, you can probably invest in other places like speakers or a desk if you don't have one. Total builds adds to 1,36,000

You can go with a 1440p monitor, I just don't find them worth for the price.
Logitech G502 obviously.
The regular wired version is on sale too. Specs look to be the same, just a different mouse skin https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GBZ4Q68/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_RJ9Q5W1X0BPKNXANQRG7
The g502 for 39 bucks on amazon is an amazing deal. Could not be happier with mine.
You can get a g502 wired for $40 https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07GBZ4Q68/
To answer your question though, no they don’t typically have those types of problems.
I use this and it's 40USD if you consider that cheap
thx,
I'm unsure which one I should buy. The price or skin is not my concern. Originality is more important to me.
Great excuse to pick up a decent gaming mouse and map one of its buttons to a "Win+Y" macro.
Logitech G502 is apparently the most popular mouse in the world. I have one and it works fine. I put all the weights in it.

I myself main a WHM and have fulfilled the healer role in Elder Scrolls Online, World of Warcraft and now FFXIV. Personally, I don't enjoy the controller support on FFXIV. I find that a good mouse with a few extra buttons to set up keybinds and a clean yet easy to read UI is key.
I've used the Logitech 502 Hero. Which is on sale for $44. I transcended the plains of Earth and retrieved the mouse from the Gods themselves.

Or I just went here.
Just pick a build or make your own on pcpartpicker.
Just make sure to buy a RTX 3080, even if you don't need it(and get 16+ gb ram).

For a keyboard, be sure to go for a mechanical one.
You can use the opto-mechanical ones from Razer if you just want the feel.
For a mouse, I prefer wired, much faster and cheaper.
If the wire really bugs you, just tape it on a wall or use a mouse bungee.
omfg get this mouse it's the cheapest it's ever been. Plus it's the new version so it has 16k dpi and a new optical sensor and all.
And for a monitor, frames really do matter. I cannot handle anything beneath 165 but there's not much of a difference above that.

Monitors have horrible audio, so use headphones or buy some speakers.
What about the Logitech G502?
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GBZ4Q68/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fab_9tQzFb5R8SDJ2
Not much more expensive and it seems to be at the top of many recommendation lists.
I've been using the g502 Hero for over a year now and I don't have any complaints, it's got weights you can add in and or take out as well as quite a few mappable buttons
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07GBZ4Q68/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_q3SpFb69548B1
Same mouse is like 49 bucks on amazon right now.
Amazon. Cost me 3775 after rebates.
The G703 is basically a Pro for palm grip players with big hands. I loved that mouse until mine got the double click issue. If you want a wired mouse, the 403 is the same shape.
With the double click issue, I have been using my G502 again with the low thumb button disabled, so I only have the two side buttons like the 703, 403, pro etc. It is honestly a great mouse as well.
OP, you can get the 502 for around $50 with the latest sensor. Amazon - G502
The simpler 403 is around the same price: Amazon - G403
this one uses the same kinda grip as the g900, they have a limited edition thats 6 bucks cheaper on amazon right now. which i think may be a typo cause the limited edition one on bestbuy is like 80.
and this is the slightly cheaper little brother of the 502.
the mouses tend to be modeled around the 2 main ppl logitech and razer. and theirs 3 styles of mice
this one is kinda in the middle of the 2 styles being more of a neutral mouse https://www.bestbuy.com/site/corsair-harpoon-rgb-wireless-optical-gaming-mouse-black/6316173.p?skuId=6316173
I got a build here for you perfectly.
CPU- Ryzen 5 3600, 6 cores, 21 threads, all-around a good CPU for anything. From Productivity to Gaming, it beats out its brothers and competition in price to performance.
RAM- 16Gb covers all of your Chrome tabs and games
GPU- Great Entry-level graphics card that plays 1080p60 and doesn't break the bank
Storage- 750GB of fast SSD storage, if you need more for games, later on, you can get more SSDs
Fans and CPU Cooler- best performance to noise ratio for the money
If you have any questions let me know.
Cheers.
P.S. Your mouse and monitor are fine for now since you are not gaming yet. I would definitely recommend a better mouse and 144hz monitor for gaming.
Monitor- AOC C24G1 24in. - https://www.amazon.com/AOC-C24G1-Frameless-DisplayPort-Adjustable/dp/B07GD7H18F/ref=sr_1_3?crid=1QA94VYZD68VP&keywords=144hz+monitor&qid=1580866500&sprefix=144h%2Caps%2C198&sr=8-3

Maybe you should try with Logitech G502.
Here is the amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G502-Performance-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B07GBZ4Q68/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=logitech+g502&qid=1579575139&sr=8-1
This is the mouse I would recommend over any other. Not the absolute best you can buy, but IMO nothing comes close in terms of a compromise between build quality and price ($48 USD):
Here's a good $70 keyboard with good build quality, though you can't change the backlight color from white (if you care about that):
If you can't afford something in these price points, I would just recommend buying a good logitech kb&m combo. Maybe you can go a little cheaper and still get good hardware, but any "gaming" kb&m combo under $50 is probably going to be meh.
Gotta recommend Logitech line over anything Razer. I've had some very goofy Razer driver errors and their features haven't worked very well for me. The last time I owned a Razer mouse they hadn't figured out options like DPI throttle button, which lagged by a few seconds. There's also bloatware. I don't think I've touched my Logitech options twice since I've bought my Proteus Core. It just works. Massively better experience. I'd just go for the Logitech current-gen flagship gaming mouse. This is a good option.
As an aside, I don't think there has been a lot of literature on very short range long-term capacitive charging exposure (found this, not a whole lot else -- much bigger field for much shorter time) so the capacitive mousepad freaks me out a little. Show me people who used these things their whole lives dying in their 80s without weird hand neuropathies and I'll say k fine.

I've been playing MMOs since about 2001 now, I've gone through a lot of mice so I can give you my thoughts on several options, some are pretty old and outdated so I'll stick with the mostly-relevant ones. Most of them aren't MMO-mice with the 40 buttons but I can give you a general idea on build quality, software quality, general customer support, etc. Also I work in IT so I have access to a lot of different computers to test stuff on if there's problems with my stuff, and am used to talking to support for products.
My current, and favorite of all of these, is the Logitech G502 apparently the "hero" edition? Whatever that means, I believe they started making a wireless version of this one not long ago. I've had mine for about 2 years now and have been really happy with it, it's still doing perfectly fine, nothing broken or janky on it, everything works great. Most importantly; The software is well-designed, easy to use, doesn't get in the way, didn't ask for my damn social security number or anything like that.
I have mine setup with 2 profiles, but you can do 3; One is for FPS/normal gaming and the other is for MMOs. You switch profiles by clicking the little button below the mousewheel lock toggle button, it's hard to hit it by accident but not too bad to use on purpose. There's two side buttons on the main click, standard front-and-back, and a fat thumb button. If you wanted to, you could use the thumb button as a profile toggle button to make all the other buttons do something different (Like say you bind 8 to the front button, then set so that when holding thumb button, the front is now shift+8 or whatever). Also what's nice is that the settings get saved to the mouse itself (though you can change that if you want for some reason), so when I built my new computer all I did was...Unplug my mouse from my old computer and plugged it in to the new one, all settings were already there.
I'll be buying this one again if my current one craps out on me, it's great. I haven't had any problems with it so I can't say if the customer support is good or bad.
One of the older ones I used to use was the Roccat Kone, this looks like a slightly newer version but it doesn't look like too much has changed. This worked great, a little bit more of a simple mouse than the Logitech but I liked it, it is a bit large though so if you have small hands I'd probably shy away from it. Roccat's software worked great, wasn't intrusive, generally did what it was told with little fuss.
Customer support for Roccat was great, I had a few problems with drivers and stuff one time, and even though their support was still based out of Germany at the time they were pretty responsive and stuck with me trying to fix the issue. (Turned out in the end it was an AMD problem, go figure.) I only replaced this one because I wanted something with more functionality.
Next up is the Corsair M65 Elite, I had this programmed very similarly to my Logitech. I will say the programming of it was a bit more of a pain in the ass but once it was set, it was set and worked great. I don't recall if the settings saved to the mouse or just to the software.
This lasted for a good while but over time the mousewheel started having issues registering, I did like the general feel of this mouse the best and I loved that it was aluminum instead of plastic. Corsair support was slower than the other two but pretty decent. I was able to get the first one replaced, but then I actually went through two of these and wound up with the same exact mousewheel problem with the second one! If their build quality improved just a tad, that would be great.
Razer's DeathAdder Elite is the last one in my list here...For good reason. This thing worked fine as a very basic mouse - The software sucked shit. I actually had a Tarantula keyboard as well, and the software was so bad that the extra keys programmed into it only worked some of the time; The drivers for the mouse never worked right, on 3 separate computers not long after installing, all 3 would blue screen due to the mouse drivers. The keyboard drivers I found were actually causing this as well, but much less frequently (It was being misidentified in Windows' minidump files as being the AMD video driver causing the crash, it turned out to actually be Razer's garbage.).
Physically, the keyboard worked fine and had no issues, lasted until I tossed it because of the drivers/software issues. The mouse though, oh boy. 4 replacements, all with different issues of quality. One of them the right-click button stopped working unless you pressed it in a certain spot very far down the mouse towards your palm, one of them the two side buttons would often get stuck inside the mouse, another the laser tracking was total garbage, and the last one the mousewheel button would stop clicking.
Support was terrible, the driver issue was actually widely reported on their forums, but Razer's response was...Uninstall then reinstall the same drivers. And never responded to anyone still having the problem (which was everyone). In any support tickets I had, the response time was slow, they would attempt to get out of any responsibility, like "You must have dropped it and broke it so it's not our fault!" despite that not having happened. Twice I had to drop the support ticket and get a new one so that I could talk to someone else who would actually bother to listen to me and work with me. Every single time I had to step through seeing if doing x will fix it or y will fix it (it didn't, because all problems were manufacturing quality.), it was just a mess.
I know Razer works fine for some people, but boy when it doesn't work it sure bombs hard, and good damn luck getting any help with it.
Out of all these, stay the hell away from Razer please. Most other people's recommendations are strong; I've heard great things about Logitech and Corsair's MMO mice, the only people I know that have Razer MMO mice like them, but theirs are older than a decade and all of them are worried about having to replace them since the software and build quality have gotten worse. Unfortunately don't know anyone that has a Roccat mouse so can't say how their MMO mouse is (I think they have one).
At some point I also had a Mios something-or-other but didn't care for it that much, it was pretty comfortable for someone like me with bear paws instead of hands but it didn't have really any bells and whistles, I don't even think it had software. But if you're also slowly turning into a polar bear you can give them a shot.
TL;DR Logitech has been the best in the business for a long time for a reason. Roccat is great German engineering built for people like me with Sasquatch hands, and Corsair builds nice, sturdy, aluminum products with somewhat annoying software. Razer is worse than the products that generic companies build to sell as cheap Razer knock-offs because at least those don't BSoD.

Wow that looks really nice. What is the difference between the HERO and Regular versions? Trying to figure this out on Amazon, https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Spectrum-Shifting-Personalized-Programmable/dp/B07GBZ4Q68?th=1
