Also what keyboards (non RGB) are good that I can get, I haven't heard of Quickfire and was thinking more mainstream brands. I know that's bad but any good logis, corsair, razers,, etc or is quickfire good? Thanks

Thanks for your input. I ended up going with a refurbed Proteus last week. I usually shop manufacturer refurbs other items (headphones, mics), but have never done so for computer components.

Edit: Even though this is a good deal (and personally, I've never had problems with refurbed mice), I'm gonna get a new one for $60 at BestBuy. Forgot that I had a $50 gift card there, and I probably wouldn't use it any time soon otherwise.

The issue will be the surface. If you definitely want to use the surface and do not want to by a mouse pad I recommend you go with mouse that has at least a 3310/3360/3366 sensor which should not have a problem tracking on the surface. A G502 would be suitable if you can get one at a reasonable price (go for the older model (non-Spectrum)) I see a referb on Amazon for $50.

Otherwise the DM1 Pro is probably closer in shape.

Also Roccat Pure Military could be another option for you but it is a bit taller.
