lol I've looked into if I could replace mine. Check out how much one of the few new ones that are left out there costs. This link is for used so click on the new and used button.
If no one has offered yet, I have a gaming mouse lying around because I switched to a Razer one but this one is still fine And in very good condition if I can send it to you, here is an Amazon listing, but I'd be sending it free of charge don't worry about the price
Logitech G700s 910-003584 Rechargeable Gaming Mouse https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00BFOEY3Y/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_r76pAbFKT8QFV
Is this a good replacement for the G700s? I love mine but it's starting to have issues and new/refurbished ones are >$200(?!) for some reason. If not, any suggestions?
Seems like this has fewer buttons, anyone know if you can click the side wheel?
I like my Logitech G700s, but it was only $60 when I got mine. I'd bet you can get a decent price around Black Friday.
It's comfortable (for right handed), survives Diablo really well, has buttons easily mapped to other skills (and I even have the top ones mapped to things like pinging the map or verbal emotes). But the battery life is TERRIBLE, truly truly amazingly bad. Full charge is about 5 hours of use. So I have mine plugged in all the time and use it like a corded mouse.
I absolutely would, as long as you're on PC. I was using it on Mac, and was having a lot of issues with the OSX smoothing interfering with the Logitech software settings. Now that I'm on the good ship Studio, it's total smooth sailing. Great customization, really sturdy with a nice weight that I prefer.
If you're about to buy one though, I'd also consider the G700 as a refurb is the same price as the G602, but the button positions make a bit more sense (on the 602, the G4 and G7 buttons are in an awkward place that doesn't always make them easy to hit.)
I was in somewhat the same boat as you - I wanted a new mouse, but was a little averse to using the popular 12 button layout, thought it was a bit overkill for how I like to play. I recently purchased a Logitech G700s and have been extremely happy with it. 4 buttons to the side, 3 more buttons on top next to your index finger. If you use shift and/or control modifiers, that's functionally 21 buttons from 7, so I cut down on fat fingering spells, which was a fear of mine when looking at the 12 button mice and my largish hands.
I was looking for the same thing and I love the mouse I decided on a few years ago:
Logitech G700s 910-003584 Rechargeable Gaming Mouse
I love it. 4 easy buttons on the side near the thumb. 3 easy to feel buttons just next to the left mouse. That's 7 "extra" buttons but the way they're situated it feels as easy as 3 or 4 because of awesome placement. The mouse is also wired OR wireless. Rechargeable. I love it.
It totally changes how I play every single game, especially games that use wasd for movement. You can now do 7 extra things without ever losing mobility. And I'm not even talking about shooters, I'm talking every game where you have to leave wasd to hit "e" to "use" or "m" for "map". You don't realize how shitty it is until you have a solution haha.
There are tons of features I didn't even mention. If you have any questions, feel free to shoot them my way. I'm tempted to buy a second one just because I love it so much.
Having never used either mouse (I have a G700s and it's pretty good) - judging by the reviews the G900 may be slightly better as a mouse than the G502. Unless you're explicitly looking for the best wireless gaming mouse in existence - I don't think it's worth 3x as much as the G502. If you want a wireless gaming mouse for around the same price, the G700s is on sale and I can vouch for it's performance (but not it's battery life, sadly it won't last a 12hr marathon session) but I think the G502 still has a better and more accurate sensor - just because it's wired and doesn't have to deal with interference.
Logitech G700s is my daily driver.
Pros: 7 easily accessible programmable macro keys, then 1 more that's harder to get to since it's under your palm. Clicking the scroll wheel can also be a macro if the given game doesn't use it. Very comfortable. Wireless, which you asked for and I too absolutely cannot live without. Great sensor. Scroll wheel can do that infinity scroll thing.
Cons: More than the $20-30 you mentioned. Battery life is about 8-10 hours. If you charge it every night you'll be OK, but if you forget you might find yourself switching to the very stiff cable mid game session, which bugs me. You can buy better batteries though.
It does have buttons but on the left and right click buttons which could get over but not the size. I know it is a different company but I have used a Razer Taipan for 3 years that is refurbished and one of the side buttons is now giving out. Not sure what sensor is in the G700 but Best Buy has that on sale for $54.99 and can be used wired and Amazon Warehouse has one in original package for $42.31. I know what you are going through I was in the same boat and didn't want to spend a lot for a new mouse and searched everywhere for deals but also wanted a good mouse.
My mouse's middle scroll wheel can tilt left or right. These buttons are programmable and I have them set up to switch between tabs. I also have the thumb buttons set to close the current tab, open a new tab, and re-open a closed tab. I've been using this setup for years and forget how much faster it is until I try to operate without it.
I can't recommend wireless keyboards or mice. Wired once are simply better in that you don't ever have to replace batteries, and there is not noticeable input lag. All of the wireless keyboards, and all but one of the mice I have used suffered from these problems.
The one exception being the Logitech G700s (I would link you Logitech's page, but there website is under going redesign and they messed up the page). This mouse operates in both a wired mode as well as a wireless mode when you need it. It also has a lot of buttons you can bind to all sorts of non-gaming applications.
For instance, I keep the mouse plugged into my desktop and the wireless plugged into my laptop. When I need to go I just unplug my mouse from the computer and now it is paired with my laptop.
Really? Why stay away from Razer? It always seemed they made top-notch stuff.
As for the G600, dayum that's a ton of buttons. I think I'll pass.
Someone in another thread recommended the G700s (I would always play it wired).
Thoughts?

(It's on sale, 40$ off)
I've been using wireless mice for 10 years and haven't ever noticed anything. Of course, my serious games were always FPS, where you don't really click that much. Maybe it comes into play more if you're playing an RTS where you're constantly clicking on really small things.
That said, I don't game much anymore, but my G700s makes me at least 10% more productive at work. Custom macros for non-configurable programs are neat.
Are the buttons on the side responsive enough to be clicked when you want to, but not when you accidentally graze your thumb over the side? I like they are all one side instead of being all over the mouse, but this still worries me a bit. Edit: The reason I ask is because my alternative is something like this instead which I also wouldn't mind given the location of the switches.
Re: HOTAS- I've been considering one for a while (and the "OOOO SHINY" part of me just wants a new toy to play with), but I have a great mouse(well, I have the old G700, but this is the newer version) with 4 thumb buttons, and I use two of those to control pitch up/pitch down, which makes maneuvering WAY easier. If you have a good gaming mouse, you can dogfight really well and save yourself the expense of a HOTAS.
I've heard good things about both of those, and they both seemed comfortable when I tried them, but I haven't used either one long enough to make a ruling.
Personally, I love my G700s. If you're worried about wired vs. wireless performance, the G700s can use both, and is rechargeable.

Shiiiiiiiiiit
the G700s just priced-dropped on Amazon to $50.99 for BF
I'ma go w/ this one, Thanks Zale and Sukkanauha for the advice!
Amazon does that too. Actually, every online retailer does it. Compare prices on the Logitech G700s:
All those retailers claim that it's discounted from $99.99.
No one sells products for MSRP. Manufacturers know this, the MSRP is complete bullshit, and is artificially inflated just so that every store out there can claim they're selling discounted goods.
For many games, a controller is fine to start out with, but completely switching to mouse is easier in the long run, as several games such as ARMA and DayZ only work with mice due to the number of control functions greatly outnumbering the amount of inputs a controller can provide. Logitech's 700s is actually a really good mouse, on par with many $300 ones, and costs much less at $60-80. It's the same one I use. You can find it on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G700s-910-003584-Rechargeable-Gaming/dp/B00BFOEY3Y/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1439061131&sr=8-1&keywords=g700s
As for playing DayZ, I wouldn't recommend it, as they keep adding a bunch of unnecessary stuff to it, take a lot of time between updates and bugfixes, and it's player base is a bit less mature than I'd like. It'd be better to spend a little bit extra to buy ARMA III, and then getting the Breaking Point mod. You get pretty much the same thing, except that it runs a lot better, and you get access to all the other game types on ARMA III as well. Here's an older video showing Breaking Point gameplay: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ST9-yCTXdg
You can also download Breaking point at: http://www.thezombieinfection.com/
Also, on first inspection, you laptop seems to be set for playing ARMA, but it couldn't hurt to double check, since I'm not exactly sure how NVIDIA's laptop cards stack up to their desktop counterparts. Here's the site I use to double check if I can play a game or not: http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/cyri
Yup, I use the Logitech g700, specifically chosen for MMO gaming, and I love it.

I use a Logitech G700s.
They've apparently gone up in price over the years I've had it.
Logitech G700(s)
I have had the original G700 from 2011-2018 until it broke, I then bought a used G700s. The ergonomics of the mouse fit me great, the extra buttons are fantastically placed for my use case. Weight is fine too. I use mine wired without a battery.
They're unfortunately discontinued so I'll have to repair it myself in the case of any hardware issues.
I use my mouse on a Grifiti wrist rest 8 turned perpendicular to my other wrist wrest on a roughly 3000dpi setting for my mouse.
In the case I wasn't able to get another G700s then I might go with an Elecom M-DUX70BK mouse or another logitech mouse because of the automatic game detection software.
Maybe because it's just a mouse? IDK. I've only had my G815 keyboard since Nov. Already had to reinstall Ghub 3 times and use my backup settings.json another 3 times. 2 of the reinstalls was from the same black screen bug.
I wish I could just use LGS with this keyboard. I've been using LGS since 2013 with my G700s mouse I got with my last PC and it never gave me any issues. lol Speaking of which, haven't been a fan of any of Logitech mice since then. Or least not liked them as much. lol One of the few G700s that are still NIB out there are selling for little over 350 bucks. Doubt you'll see any of today's Logitech mice selling for that much years from now. https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G700s-Rechargeable-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B00BFOEY3Y/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=logitech+g700s&qid=1626748381&sr=8-5
The 4 button side is just so much better than what's come after. I'm going to be really sad when it finally craps out on me.
It's a great mouse. lol Look how much one of the few NIB that are left out there are "selling" for. Quotations because that's been the price for at least a couple of years now and nobody is buying. :)
I totally would if I was rich though.
I've been using mine daily since 2013. I'm going to be sad when it finally breaks. lol Have you seen how much one of the few NIB that are left sell for? https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G700s-Rechargeable-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B00BFOEY3Y/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=g700s&qid=1608055076&sr=8-3
It's nice to see I can get another one on ebay for a decent price.
I've been using mine since 2013 and it's still going strong. lol Have you seen what the few NIB G700 that are still left out there are selling for? https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G700s-Rechargeable-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B00BFOEY3Y/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=g700s&qid=1607621822&sr=8-2
I mean I loooove mine but I don't love it that much. :)
Different guts inside. Look through the specs and compare. One has the hero sensor one doesn't for example. They have different battery life. Etc. It's probably just things they added as they released new tech and didn't want to design an entire new mouse to use the better features? IDK but the differences are all there in black and white. As to which is better IDK that either. lol I'm still using the G700s I got back in 2013. I'm going to be a sad panda when it finally craps out. Nothing they've released since then is as good in my opinion. lol The handful of NIB 700s are selling, or at least are priced at over 300 bucks. So obviously I'm not only one who loves them.
Oh btw, I see your response to others recommending rather expensive keyboards. Seriously though: You spend 8 hours a day on your mattress, so buy a good mattress, right? Same with a keyboard. If you're gonna type for a living, buy a keyboard that feels fucking good, even if it's hundreds of dollars. Future you will thank you.
Small, you say? I must assume you don't mean a TKL, because only mouth-breathing hipsters would forgo the crucial keypad (especially for coding!). I legitimately appreciate my Ryos MK Pro (not small) for gaming at home, but for the workplace I recommend the CODE keyboard. Clean, simple, no-nonsense. About as small as it gets for 104 keys.
I can't recommend trackballs enough. Seriously. It'll feel weird for the first day or two. Hold out for a week. You'll get used to it. The Logitech M570 is the obvious workhorse (I bought 4 of them in the past couple years), but the MX Ergo is definitely more premium (I'm using it right now, and it feels fucking amazing). Honestly, I'd just sort of feel silly with an M570 on my desk next to a CODE. Ok, so I'm a bit image-obsessed.
If you really must use a mouse, Logitech still makes them best. At home, for clicky games like D3 or LoL, I own the lovely and nonpareil G700s - it's definitely a gaming mouse, but... it's kind of like John Wick. Dressed like a pro, but it'll shoot you in the chest and the face. But from a distance no one will be able to tell - I wouldn't be embarrassed to use it at work. Apparently though, it was discontinued and sells on Amazon for $276.68 (plus $5.04 shipping, wtf) - it's good, but not that good. If you can find it under $100, it's worth it.
Other options include the M720 Triathlon or the MX Master 2S - but I haven't personally used these, so I can't really vouch for these devices specifically, I can only shill for Logitech as a brand (but Wirecutter agrees!) :p
No but really, finding an ergo mouse that's got at least forward/back buttons and doesn't look like a spaceship (not that there's anything wrong with that: The Roccat Kova AIMO looks fucking sick) is difficult, to put it mildly.
So just use the Ergo.
Is the swtiches why my G700s is selling for literally over 300 bucks new right now? I mean I get that it should be a BIT more expensive since it's not made anymore but that takes the cake. I'll be a sad panda when it craps out. I haven't seen any of the newer Logitech mice I like better. https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G700s-Rechargeable-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B00BFOEY3Y/ref=sr_1_2?dchild=1&keywords=logitech+g700s&qid=1601135189&sr=8-2
It made me literally lol that the seller is also charging for shipping. :)
Just buy another one. You got around 300 bucks laying around, don't you? lol Seriously though it's amazing what they sell for today. https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G700s-Rechargeable-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B00BFOEY3Y/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=g700s&qid=1600910725&sr=8-1
Luckily mine is still working. I haven't found any I'm willing to replace it with yet.
I use the logitech G700 olderversion of this
https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G700s-910-003584-Rechargeable-Gaming/dp/B00BFOEY3Y
I use it wired and it is pretty great.
Buy a Logitech G700s mouse: https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G700s-910-003584-Rechargeable-Gaming/dp/B00BFOEY3Y
Program the different buttons for different keys / actions (multi-button presses). My wife loves hers.
The three things that helped me out most were a good frame-rate, a good mouse with the correct settings and most of all lots of practice.
The biggest "seat of the pants" (thing you can feel) difference was when I upgraded from a regular 5 button dell mouse to a "gaming" mouse that had high DPI and poll rates (G700s). Here's a short write-up I did a while back going over some of the settings I use and why (use RAW input settings for example).
With higher DPI and polling rates, my mouse movements translated to very smooth and fluid tracking on the screen. I was able to smoothly track things no matter what speed I was moving the mouse around. It was most noticeable when I would move forward and "scan" the horizon slowly for things. There was no more "stuttering" (for a lack of a better term). Everything was liquid smooth
I main medic and demo so I can really only speak to those weapons. Once I was able to track smoothly, I started learning how to "lead" my targets with projectile weapons like the grenade launcher, sticky launcher, and crusader's crossbow. When using weapons like the grenade launcher, you have to lead and aim a bit above them. With plenty of practice I started to hit more and more air-shots with my grenade launcher and long-range shots with the crusader's crossbow shots.
Another couple of things that may help aim is a good HUD and your weapon POV settings. A hud will allow you to add/remove/change various on-screen elements. HERE is a direct download to the one I currently use including what it looks like. Your weapon POV (in console: weapon_fov "xx" - I use a value of 120) allows me to see more of my screen and therefore have more information about what's going on around me.
I currently use a Logitech G502 Proteus.
I hope that helps a bit. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me. I've got over 6500 hours in the game with ~2300 as med and ~1800.
Logitech G700s is really solid.
This is a little over price point at $65 even with its sale but I LOVE this mouse! https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G700s-910-003584-Rechargeable-Gaming/dp/B00BFOEY3Y
You might have to have prime for the sale? Hope I'm wrong
Wow....that truly is a dream build.
Edit: Time to be helpful!
Windows 10 has rarely given me problems. With a fresh install, it's easy as pie. Upgrading from 8 required some small updates and whatnot but after a week of lazily updating things as they came, my transition was complete. Ymmv though.
You might want to check out the Logitech G700s or MX Master. I think they're pretty friendly for big hands. Ideally if you have stores nearby you can go try different ones and see how they feel.
There are other mice that are more suitable for gaming in terms of response time or amount of buttons, but if comfort is your number one concern these might be the best fit (haha). Who knows though. There are so many mice out there now that I'm sure tons of them fit for you. Again, getting a chance to try different ones out would be quite helpful. Otherwise it's mostly trial and error, or a trip to youtube to see how other big hand people like different mice.
If you like having some side buttons, but not to the extreme of being an MMO mouse, check out the G700s.
g700s, couldn't recomend it more. Actually I could but I'm too lazy to.
I use my PC in my living room. I have a 24 inch monitor and a 90 inch projector connected to it. If someone wants to use the living room for netflix/hulu, I pop it up on the projector and game on the monitor.
Sometimes I game on the projector, usually Witcher 3 or MGSV TPP. I use a wireless keyboard and mouse, the only game I play with a controller is MGSV.
I recommend getting a good surface to put your mouse pad on. I have an old 17.3 inch Asus laptop that is perfect for my mouse pad. Sometimes the laptop leans to one side, so I remove the battery and use it to keep it leveled.
Edit: I wanted to list the mouse and keyboard I use.

Ah, liked its style. I got this one.
You’re thinking of the base model G700. The G700s is an extremely high end precision mouse that Logitech first party retailers sell at $400. There are far more than two unopened models in existence but they really are that expensive.
https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-G700s-Rechargeable-Gaming-Mouse/dp/B00BFOEY3Y
Return it and get the Logitech g700s mouse.
I have three of these and I've been using them for a few years now. The software that comes with it enables you to heavily customize all the buttons.
This wireless gaming mouse has a 1ms latency, which is perfectly fine. Your wired mouse might not be any better. I've owned wireless mice, there's definitely no lag. I have a wired mouse now, I'm sick of the wire. Mouse cord snag is infuriating.
