Not sure what kind of bug hands you have, but if they're pincer-style hands (like a crab claw), you might try the Logitech MX vertical. It should fit inside your claw reasonably well; I'm sure it's difficult using a flatter mouse when you don't have any fingers. Best of luck!
I picked it up on a whim when I saw it at Staples a little while ago and, although it was strange at first, I’ve grown to like it a lot. Feels like I am piloting a helicopter or something.
More importantly than a chair is your ergonomics. I made such minor tweaks that improve my neck pain. Like this mouse

It makes it so your wrist isn’t twisted, which helps your shoulders and neck way more than you think. Also consider getting a keyboard tray that lowers the keyboard so your elbows are 90 degrees.
There’s also the MX version of the Logitech mouse that’s a little higher end, still not too expensive though.
Have you tried the Logitech MX518 or the mx master? Both are on the large size. Logitech also makes a vertical wireless mouse.

Hope this helps.
Have you tried arm aiming with an ergo mouse ? ? ? is the question

Probably need to add some extra grip tape, but that should help keep your crosshair where you want it while you click
ALTERNATIVELY
I've had some success and may even prefer to move with my mouse B U T i fire with the keyboard. I discovered this on accident when I had a mouse break on me and my main click function was lost. I reassigned it to Q and my sniper shots were ON POINT like no other because i didnt have to worry about my muscles from left clicking moving the mouse at all.
There's also a ton of vertical mice designed for people suffering from carpal tunnel. Been using this for a few years, really helped my wrist pain.
I don’t think there are any motherboards with more than 2 usb c ports, and most only have either 1 or none at all. If usb c ports are important to you, I’d look at the X570S Aero G, B550 Vision D or Vision D-P, or the B550 Creator.
If you want lots of m.2 slots, the B550 Unify has four m.2-2280 slots.
Of all the motherboards I’ve mentioned, only the B550 Creator doesn’t have wifi, the rest all come with wifi 6 onboard.
For vertical mice, my colleague uses a Logitech MX Vertical at the office and loves it to death. She swears by it and I’m inclined to agree having tried it once myself. It’s a bit pricey at $92 on Amazon though

Worth every cent. I use this on two computers daily Maya, Max, Photoshop. 1 button on the bottom of the mouse switches between your different devices perfectly. greatly has reduced stress on my wrist fingers and arm. Highly Recommend it 👍

This seems promising
This will change your life. So much better than a wrist rest.
How is it going, what do you think of the K860? I have been eyeing the same since I am switching to IT field with possibility of work from home and thinking getting ergo keyboard since last few days at work I have gotten some strain on my wrists.
Side note: month ago I got the logitech MX vertical mouse and I am loving it, first 30min it felt weird but that was just me tensing up my hand, just let it relax and rest you side of hand on the table. https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Vertical-Wireless-Mouse-Rechargeable/dp/B07FNJB8TT
Using a trackpad for long periods of time causes my carpal tunnel to flare up pretty bad. I'd recommend a ergonomical mouse! I use the Logitech MX Vertical and absolutely love it.
Very good point! I’ve heard good things about the Logitech MX Vertical. It’s a little pricey, so here’s an Anker that’s 1/3 the price.
Thanks! Yes, it's a Logi MX Vertical https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07FNJB8TT
Logi(tech) is very solid, if a bit expensive. I have stuff from them that is 10 plus years of hard use that still works super well.
This evoluent mouse looks really slick, has adjustable dpi for "drawing" which is also what you want in a gaming mouse. Lots of buttons too,
https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Vertical-Wireless-Mouse-Rechargeable/dp/B07FNJB8TT Check, might be cheaper somewhere else...

Is what I use. Cubital is more from the mouse I find.

I rock the sync from keeb. I made it myself but they sell prebuilts I linked above.

The absolute lightest mechanical switches I'm aware of are the Japanese made Omron D2F-01F. They are however slightly taller than standard switches so they don't always fit very well. You can use this chart to find switches and their click force but, there is a tolerance in spring tension so one switch of the same model may require up to 15g of extra force to actuate. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1x9iUvx3j2GiWwj_o2_jmsofY0Hoppg26QWolg-_Uaj4/edit?usp=drivesdk
There's also Razer mice which use optical switches. These switches are known in the mouse nerd community for feeling "mushy" and are generally pretty light. There is a click feeling but it's much less pronounced then on mice with regular mechanical switches.
Beyond that there's full on vertical style mice designed to help people that suffer from carpal tunnel. The shape is meant to take strain off off the muscles and they generally have light clicks too. There's many to choose from and they can get very expensive but the most popular is probably this from Logitech Logitech MX Vertical Wireless Mouse – Advanced Ergonomic Design Reduces Muscle Strain, Control and Move Content Between 3 Windows and Apple Computers (Bluetooth or USB), Rechargeable, Graphite https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FNJB8TT/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_N9T4BMYNX84XZWC5GTP5
I loveee my vertical mouse! It really helped keep my hand in a comfortable resting position and decrease strain. Mine is the MX Vertical by Logitech.
The sooner you do something about this, the better off you will be.
I was having a lot of wrist pain, and now use this mouse (Logitech, Vertical): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07FNJB8TT/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_04X2D9F39HCXM51VK8JN
I no longer have pain, It did take a short while to get used to the mouse, but I have adapted 100%. I think I am actually better with it now because of the more natural position of the arm.
I sometimes still use a regular mouse with no problems. But my everyday mouse is now the vertical mouse. By the way, they also sell gaming vertical mice.
Also, I keep a separate gaming keyboard from my regular keyboard. My regular keyboard is this: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00CYX26BC/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_YRK4RSNC32E67C6SYE3H
I keep the number pad to the left. It helps with arm and elbow pain by letting you keep your mouse more in front of you, rather than the to the right. Also, the ergonomic aspect of the keyboard helps if you type a lot.
All of this has helped me a lot. Taking breaks, etc. is important, but if you want long term relief ... use a vertical mouse (or a ball mouse if you prefer).
Have you looked into this?

Hello! So I’ve been diagnosed with tendonitis (not carpal tunnel) and am creating new keyboard/mouse setup. Getting myself a vertical mouse but a keyboard is a little trickier. I’ve used mechanical keyboard for years, so ideally, I’d like to find the slimmest, low-profile 75% mechanical board I can. No incline (or at least have collapsible feet) and backlit. I’ve bee using the Logitech G513 (Romer-G Linear switches) for a few years and love it – but it pushes my mouse hand way too far to the right (which is my primary source of tension). Chopping off the numpad and pushing the arrow keys and home/end buttons closer is a must.
Can anyone provide recommendations?
Thanks!
Does anyone have any opinions on ergonomic mice? I haven't needed one, but I feel like with the hours I put in in front of my computer, I may as well do what I can to prevent issues.
My biggest question is if I should try out a vertical mouse, something like this guy, or if it would be better to stick with a more traditional shape like so.
If it's just for school work then what matters most is the ergonomics and its hard to say what mouse would best fit your hand without knowing you. I'd just go to Bestbuy and test drive some mice. Personally I use:
logitech MX Vertical for work https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Vertical-Wireless-Mouse-Rechargeable/dp/B07FNJB8TT/
logitech G502 for gaming https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Lightspeed-PowerPlay-Compatible-Lightsync/dp/B07L4BM851
And a Logitech MX Anywhere for traveling https://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Anywhere-Wireless-Cross-Computer-Control/dp/B071VK5KXN
I also used the Anywhere when I was in university as I liked the fact it worked on any surface so i could work on a glass table at the student centre.
Does the Logitech MX Vertical not meet your needs?
