I believe you would just add up all the Number of New Lore Books in each game which comes to 1,399. Or if you want to make sure, check out the website: www.imperial-library.info where the book count was obtained. Unfortunately I cannot look as I am at work and that website is restricted =/

As for word count, if you really needed an accurate number you would most likely be doomed to counting it yourself. Would you be including books not included in the game? I believe there are 3 different novels written in the Elder Scrolls universe.
