Link to purchase on Amazon
I bought this a number of years ago when I started feeling nostalgic for it as well (along with the Garfield Christmas Special).
> I assume the R-rated version is what I've got on my BluRay, but honestly I can't be bothered to check.
Amazon has an R rated, Shout Factory (the distributor) has an unrated version. probably depends on where you got it from?
It's on Amazon. In stock date of Oct 15.
Also, if that’s the case this is probably the boxset you had. I used to have same one with a different cover and you are right it’s got some good stuff [link]
For anyone interested
Its free on Prime streaming. Watched it and its pretty good.
If being available on Bluray and DVD and streaming currently on Amazon Prime is considered "out of circulation" then I guess I've misunderstood what that term means for most of my life.
Was more a comment on the town, not necessarily my awesomeness (which is vast 😆).
Will Vinton did all of the California Raisins stuff, did the claymation on Moonwalker (RIP Michael Jackson), and the Noid from the old Domino's pizza commercials.
You might enjoy this. (Crappy quality tho, gotta love the 80s)
Amazon does have a DVD with the Christmas, Easter, and Halloween specials for $20.
The losses were from the high command and dumbness. The pilots hated them for it, Fuck LBJ and McNamara.
i mostly agree with this version, just one thing; FotR have an annoying green tint, TT and RotK dont have it, and regarding the 4K for me looks better, but it frozes couple of frames during the Battle of Pelennor fields... ive seen people saying their discs are working perfectly, so, is your choice now...tbh i've watched the my DVD boxset more times than the other 2, i dont know , for me this is the one that looks better
Heads up to anyone who can't afford this, theres a cheaper blu ray set that fluctuates between $20-40. I've had it for years and its great too
Here ya go
I know this set gets hate but it's just for the artwork, packaging, and being the same blue rays as the previous release.
It's freaking $27 dollars for the first 8 (best) films!
And it's the same blue rays as the expensive box set!
Mine came the next day and I ordered last week.
That's a Republic F105 Thunderchief, nicknamed "Thud" by its pilots. These aircraft were revered by their pilots and maintainers, and abused by the politicians who controlled the war in Viet Nam. If you want the nitty gritty about them from the people who knew them best then watch Thud Pilots (a documentary) on Amazon Prime.
The movie Perfect Blue! It's one of my favorites. It's been on my main list the longest, actually long than the date posted but I redid my whole list at some point so the date changed. Perfect Blue
Thanks for the contest!

Merry Christmas, Travis!
You can buy the dvd/BD combo used on Amazon for $16.
The Poughkeepsie Tapes (Bluray/DVD Combo) [Blu-ray] [link]
That seems to be the cheapest legal way of seeing the movie currently.
The works of IGG Nabwana; Uganadan filmmaker, show some actual African cinema...
Who Killed Captain Alex?
Those can be found on Amazon:
At least the Bonus Features for this version list "WHO KILLED CAPTAIN ALEX with or without VJ Emmie" and 20 bucks for the double feature seem reasonable. Though I recommend buying from their own website. The packages are amazing and always specialized with stickers and other stuff.
Edit: Their own website.
Okay so you can get the first 8 movies for like 25 bucks.friday the 13 ultimat collection click the blue letters its a link
They're all available on Amazon and they're all called classics.
I started here and then looked for more from Mill Creek and 50 movie sets.
Edit: Most of the collections are from Mill Creek. Sometimes it's spelled as one word instead of two.
If you can get past the extremely cringey, heavily biased "god, guns 'n 'Murica!" narration Amazon Prime has what is an otherwise excellent documentary about F-105's in Vietnam called Thud Pilots
That is a valid comparison.
I wasn't saying the F-35 was a shit plane by making the comparison to the Thunder chief (infact a lot of pilots who flew it said they wouldn't have wanted to fly anything else).
There is a really good documentary on Amazon prime called THUD pilots that goes into this, it is definitely worth a watch if you like military aviation.
You mean like this one, that is a really good deal for parts 1-8, I like the set with the tin and patch but I guess I can buy this collection and get related collectibles separately.
here you go:
The Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy - Extended Edition (Twelve-Disc Special Edition) [link]
one does not simply spend $350, so cheapo alternative if you want it:
The Lord of the Rings: The Motion Picture Trilogy [link]
Yeah that's steep but not compared what it goes for now if you can even find it. Bet you're happy you got it when you did. I got this set that came out a few months back.
I have Studio Ghibli's Only Yesterday (1991) available for trade on Blu ray. I'm interested in Rogue One on Blu and other Studio Ghibli films, though I'm open to all offers.
I have Only Yesterday on Blu Ray. Looking to trade it for another Studio Ghibli film I do not own. So that's My Neighbor Totoro, Porco Rosso, The Wind Rises, From Up on Poppy Hill, Whisper of the Heart, Pom Poko, Ponyo, The Secret World of Arriety, or Spirited Away. Needs to also be Blu Ray.
I watched the original Japanese version actually. If Amazon is to be trusted, the North American should be available on July 5th!
It seems to be the standard release as I'm seeing it at just about every other retailer.
This link got caught up in the spam filter because it has a referral code in it. Could you resubmit this without the code? Here's a link without for convenience:
Every few years I get one of those big public domain DVD sets with a ton of old Hammer Horror, etc. movies on them and there's always at least a few movies I haven't seen or would love to own. This one is probably my favorite - there's an awesome blend of real classics and fun MST3k-style garbage (Beast of Yucca Flats!)
I have a boxed set with some pretty great films, but also some awful, awful ones. I love it!
Well The Hobbit Movie is coming out soon, maybe you can prep her by buying the LOTR extended edition box set and spend a couples days watching it with her?
Amazon has a DVD of it, along with the Claymation Easter and Claymation Halloween specials.
not sure how I missed this thread... It is NEVER too early to start celebrating Halloween. I'd post my usual favorites but you saw them under a similar thread already. Dracula, Frankenstein, Wolfman, etc...
To add to those:
Some that are classified as Horror that I'm not sure I agree with... but still love:
I have the Universal Legacy Collection which probably consists of my favorites
I also have the Horror Classics 50 Pack which has some greats in it. $12.99 is a ridiculously low price as far as I'm concerned
I'm sure I will be back to fill in all the ones I am forgetting :-)
