Get an ultrasonic cleaner. I was on the fence for months. I use it nearly every other day, and not just on pens. That thing has paid for itself many times over. Here's the one I got - wow over 4 years ago and it's still kicking.
Sorry to butt-in, I know y’all are over here being insufferable dinks at each other, but the honest answer is, I occasionally toss my link bracelet in a jewelry cleaner. The watch itself gets the occasional pass with an alcohol wipe and a microfiber cloth.
It’s fine that you wear your watch in the shower, but don’t kid yourself that it’s getting “cleaned.”
I have this one and I really love it.
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B007Q2M17K
I've never had any trouble with it. I use it to clean pens, converters, jewelry, my glasses, etc.
I don't love spending a lot of time trying to rinse out closed or semi-closed parts of pens, so I'm big on disassembling pens and converters, tossing them in here, and going through several hands-off cycles where i change the water every time. I usually do a first and second cycle with a drop of dish detergent in the water. then two or three cycles with clean water. After that things are usually pretty good to go.
Just use hot water and some dish soap. Use this machine, does the trick for home cleaning of jewelry. https://www.amazon.com/Magnasonic-Professional-Ultrasonic-Eyeglasses-MGUC500/dp/B007Q2M17K/ref=sr\_1\_3?crid=WN2MKHY0DCWW&dchild=1&keywords=ultrasonic+cleaner&qid=1626373738&sprefix=ultrasonic%2Caps%2C228&sr=8-3
I have something like this: https://www.amazon.com/Magnasonic-Professional-Ultrasonic-Eyeglasses-MGUC500/dp/B007Q2M17K
The one I bought is just some generic brand off Amazon and it works well. Just remember to never throw the whole watch in there.
Beautiful!!
I love my ultrasonic cleaner! I put all my jewelry in it 1-2x week and always sparkly clean! Magnasonic Professional Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner with Digital Timer for Eyeglasses, Rings, Coins (MGUC500) https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B007Q2M17K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_5zohFbS4SV77E
Lol just a basic one from Amazon. Magnasonic Professional Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner with Digital Timer for Eyeglasses, Rings, Coins (MGUC500) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007Q2M17K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_WPERV24SJPRSK58CR9EH?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I’m not sure why it would do that but it’s official name is Magnasonic Jewelry Cleaner, it was $39.99. Try this and see if it works!
Lots of paper towels, I go through them pretty fast. Also I'd recommend checking out an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner thing, it's an absolute life saver. I used to use a toothbrush but now I just drop my prints in the cleaner with some ipa and pull them out a couple minutes later. I use this one and it works fantastic, but be warned the plastic doesn't hold up well against IPA over time. So even though it's still kicking butt and fully functional, the lid is in disrepair and the hinge broke lol.
I bought my fiancé a ultrasonic jewelry cleaner for her ring from amazon and I stuck my month old Merkur in there and it came out brand new after about 5 mins.
My DE is usually almost completely white with soap scum after every shave, and I even rinse it with alcohol once I'm done.
Here's the link, we used about a teaspoon of mild dish detergent to go with it.
Magnasonic MGUC500 Professional Ultrasonic Jewelry & Eyeglass Cleaner With Digital Timer https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007Q2M17K/ref=cm_sw_r_awd_Xyicub0FDWB16
Also, my GF's ring looks like new after putting it in there.
.. by Jove, I think I am. I've heard of folks using brake CLEANER to strip models, hence my knee jerk reaction.
You can get an Ultrasonic on Amazon for like $40. https://www.amazon.com/Magnasonic-Professional-Ultrasonic-Eyeglasses-MGUC500/dp/B007Q2M17K/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1500241361&sr=8-3&keywords=ultrasonic+cleaner
It's also really good at cleaning uh smoking paraphernalia, not that I would know.
Amazon. They have decent ones for around $40-50. I picked this one up: https://www.amazon.com/Magnasonic-Professional-Ultrasonic-Eyeglasses-MGUC500/dp/B007Q2M17K/ref=sr_1_3?gclid=Cj0KCQjwxYLoBRCxARIsAEf16-v_Bs9Kpzhoc-Ddx-DHQcb8A-hIOYLC5z1mXPnmHlSrqdUq8RscOkMaAm6NEALw_wcB&hvadid=323278111139&hvdev=t&hvlocp....
I use water and a few drops of dawn, and then run everything again with just water.
This is the one I have now - it’s 2 or 3 years old and still going strong :)
So like this? Then just put near boiling water in there and run it? For how long? And how confident are you that this will work? Do you think I will need any other tools to go with this to fully remove the glass?
New soft toothbrush and use warm water and blue dawn (or another dish soap without hand lotions). Give it a scrub, rinse and dry. Be careful not to catch the prongs on the drying cloth.
You can also get an ultrasonic cleaner. I have this one and it works fine.
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B007Q2M17K/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_search\_asin\_title
Yeah you probably don't need to clean it that often. It's ok to just keep an eye on it and clean as you notice smudges/build up. But if you want an easier way to do it, you can get a soncitor on amazon and just use that every few weeks (with a little soap added or not, up to you). https://www.amazon.com/Magnasonic-Professional-Ultrasonic-Eyeglasses-MGUC500/dp/B007Q2M17K/
My husband got me this one for Xmas last year, its only $34 on Amazon. I sometimes let my jewelry soak a while inside, run through a cycle or 2, then clean with hot water and toothbrush. Good luck!
This is my current one- it’s a few years old and still going strong!
I got my first one as an engagement present from my exMIL. Can’t go wrong with one. Bonus if you use it to clean the yuck off of your glasses!
Listen to me! The link I posted below is what you want. You’ll thank me later. Trust me! You don’t have to bother cleaning your trays with soap, which I think is terrible idea in itself, or with toothpaste. No need for retainer tablets either. All you need to make sure is that you change out the water.
Magnasonic Professional... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007Q2M17K?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Please listen to me. This question gets ask a lot I here and I have a great way of keeping my trays clean. I’m posting a link to aproduct on Amazon. Works wonderfully. No one seems to take my advice. It works so good I got my fiancé one who joined the Invisalign journey with me.

I’ve had this one for a couple of years and love it!
I am a VERY clumsy camel and knock into everything. I don’t normally notice a stone is loose until it’s gone. Thankfully regular cleanings in the ultrasonic are a thing- the stones fall out and I find them under the little basket (safe, not on the street or at work!) From there it’s back to the jeweler and into their home :)
If I notice that one is loose/a funny prong/whatever, they go to the jeweler first! That’s not super common though. 🤦🏻♀️
ultrasonic cleaner Got one from Amazon. Wondering the same. I thought I read the V5 heater could go in, but how about the whole Core heater assy? And, from my trials, these cleaners work wonders on old glass bowls from burnt on crud. Not so much on anything sticky or gooey.
Invest in a magnasonic jewelry cleaner. They are amazing , you will not believe the diet that comes out of your jewelry! Great for gold silver and hard gemstones. ( don’t use on pearl , turquoise or coral).
https://www.amazon.com/Magnasonic-Professional-Ultrasonic-Eyeglasses-MGUC500/dp/B007Q2M17K
Hot water and a bit of Dawn. Safe for almost everything.
Bonus: if you’ve got loose pave/center, it falls out in the gray and can be replaced. No losses on the street! Doesn’t loosen stones - I’ve sent pieces through a bunch and as long as the prongs are fine, they stay in.
This is just a standard ultrasonic cleaner that they are advertising as a dental cleaner. I got this one and use it with my retainer brite cleaning tab but you can use denture cleaners or mouthwash or whatever. I love mine and use it exclusively to clean my trays.
https://www.amazon.com/Magnasonic-Professional-Ultrasonic-Eyeglasses-MGUC500/dp/B007Q2M17K
If you have an ultrasonic jewelry cleaning machine, try using that. I use hot water and vinegar, then dry with a microfiber cloth. Granted, mine aren’t prescription, just reading glasses and sunglasses, but it works well on those.
Any with good reviews :p the fact that jewelry is so popular is why we have to thank for these being super cheap and available, my wife uses ours as on her jewelry, I put a jar of iso in the tub of water with my dynas and glass in it and it buzzes for 2 minutes and all the resin falls of like dust. Months between cleanings obliterated in seconds.Highly recommend
This is mine

I have this one from Amazon. It's about 2 years old and does its job. I did spend only $20 on it though. Maybe also look at Craigslist if you have that in your area.
THIS!
White sapphire is notorious for getting dirty easily…this will help! Hot water + blue Dawn works like a charm :)
There may be some cheaper/better options out there but this is what I use:
https://www.amazon.com/Magnasonic-Professional-Ultrasonic-Eyeglasses-MGUC500/dp/B007Q2M17K
I found that since you cannot adjust the Hz level/power setting, sometimes it would take me a few 8-minute (longest setting) cycles to get my dirty stabilizers cleaned. I think this would be more than enough to clean your switches, stabs etc.
Diamond Dazzle Stiks and an ultrasonic cleaner for deep cleans!
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007Q2M17K/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_glt_i_TCB8ZERS587GDNMQW2KP
Try this and use 99 percent ISO
place board in run it on high and then pull it scrub it with tooth brush. Check the solder joints. For the amount of money that card is, its worth the time and energy
bought one of these years ago and it's the best cleaning device for my dynavaps I've ever found. Especially if you have a big collection and have a lot of parts you need to clean at the same time.
Are ultrasonic cleaners out as part of the striping work flow? I toss my guys in one with Simple Green and they were ready to be brushed clean after like one or maybe two cycles.
Mines nothing special either just this one from Amazon. Magnasonic Professional Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner with Digital Timer for Eyeglasses, Rings, Coins (MGUC500) https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B007Q2M17K/
Ok ultrasonics look cool. Can you recommend one? Does this look ok for once a week cleaning of a few pieces? https://www.amazon.com/Magnasonic-Professional-Ultrasonic-Eyeglasses-MGUC500/dp/B007Q2M17K/ref=asc_df_B007Q2M17K/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=198129187858&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=1013971157098920596&hvpone=&hvptwo=...
good news for you is the technology is not expensive and mass produced for jewelry cleaning, so mine was had for only $40
I’d recommend an ultra sonic cleaner. Those things are great for keeping retainers clean.
Here’s an example.
Magnasonic Professional Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner with Digital Timer for Eyeglasses, Rings, Coins (MGUC500) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007Q2M17K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_P926RPVZTDC5FRB0124D
I use 70% iso with a few drops of dr. Bonnets. I put this into the tank.
Some put the solution into a baggie with the parts to be cleaned then put this baggie into the tank filled with just water. Me, personally would do this if useing 90-99% iso but I don’t. I use 70% iso and feel there is no need.
I picked this model up from a garage sale for $10. It works great for me....
Another option, if you happen to have one around is a sonic jewelry cleaner. My wife has this one, so I borrowed it: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007Q2M17K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It seems to be something that would be best for on going maintenance. It did help. I don't think it would fix a completely or mostly clogged stone, but it seems like it would work well for quick maintenance after a tank is cleaned.
Thank you!! My ring is from Brilliant Earth. 😊 I actually just used an ultrasonic cleaner with hot water and a few drops of dawn dish soap. Here is the link to the one I have. I know some people say they aren't great for micropave bands but I've been using it for over a year and haven't had any issues!!
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007Q2M17K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_fabc_326EQ485D5GRR3EE8PCA
I use this one, $40: Magnasonic
Not too big (sits on a shelf in my bathroom). Works pretty well, never have any stains or scent or anything on my trays. Granted I change weekly. But I do drink a lot of beer and wine with them in (swishing water between sips usually).
Not really. Sealed bearings are not sealed any better than serviceable ones. They're just cheaper to produce. You want to look for "storm" or "rustproof" bearings, but even still, those will also be susceptible to water and dirt contamination. They just have rubber shields that are slightly more snug against the inner race to deter entry. Not infallible, so they do require maintenance on occasion.
Or, you could just order a set of $15 bearings every few months. But that just seems wasteful.
One other option is to just spend a little money on a jewelry cleaner, and pry off one shield from each of your sealed bearings. Put 'em in the cleaner once in a while, dry 'em immediately with compressed air, lube, and re-install with the open sides facing into the wheel.
This is the one I have. It's worked very well for me.
I'm just pasting out of the amazon app so if there's some kind of affiliate link (I'm not getting paid) it's unintentional
MAGNASONIC Professional Ultrasonic Jewelry and Eyeglass Cleaner With Digital Timer MGUC500 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007Q2M17K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_Bcfgzb5ZX226C
mine was $40 on amazon and it's nice for cleaning jewelry too haha
Just picked up this on amazon
Did some research and they all seem very much alike, so I decided to just spend $10 above the avg price for the one with the most/best reviews. Let’s see how it goes this weekend!
Ultrasonic cleaner ($40), isopropyl alcohol, and 5 minutes. It's like I never run out of models.
Not super familiar with ultrasonic cleaners. Should I be looking for any specific functionality? Would this one do the trick? Also, I assume the switches would need to be fully disassembled before cleaning?
I’m using this one. I like it.
I haven't tried simple green but I have used mean green in an ultrasonic cleaner and will say it takes longer to clean than Isopropyl alcohol but seems about as effective.
I would use it straight from the bottle undiluted. Fill a jar with it and shake it like mad with the print inside. I've seen people just leave there parts in it and it doesn't seem to work well at all.
I'd highly recommend getting an inexpensive ultrasonic cleaner off Amazon. This is the one I use for reference and has given me good results: ultrasonic cleaner
it will not come dirty like the one on the video, it was just to show that there can be gunk inside while the bracelet appear to be clean. But it usually come with debrys (metal particles) left over from the steel machining.
these ultrasonic cleaner are really cheap! and they are relly good to clean glasses, watch bracelets, jewelry and other things. Just dont put the watch case on it, the vibrations will screw up the movement.
It's difficult to get the excess resin off of areas that have support. The surface tension causes it to pool.
I recommend getting an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner. You can find them on amazon for around $20 USD. Fill the cleaner with isopropyl alcohol and let it vibrate for a few minutes. It will solve the problem.
Alternatively, you can try and scrub out the areas with a toothbrush, but I find that it takes to long and the results aren't as good as the ultrasonic cleaner.
EDIT: I just checked and they are actually closer to $40. I have this one and it works great.
I did not go this fancy but here's one on amazon. I wish I had taken "before" photos to show you, but it looks brand new.
Get yourself a Bulb Syringe for a few bucks from your local drug store or dollar store and try the soak again and then a flush with the bulb syringe. Amazon and pen shops such as Goulet also sell them.Goulet's video about pen flushing.
Next step could be an ultrasonic cleaner
Question - What method are you using to clean your pen?
I would suggest you get yourself a Bulb Syringe for a few bucks from your local drug store or dollar store and flush with the bulb syringe. Amazon and pen shops such as Goulet also sell them. Also check Goulet's video about pen flushing (and others on YouTube. Flushing with cold/luke warm water with a single drop of dish soap usually works.
Next step could be an ultrasonic cleaner -
Some inks will 'stain' fountain pen materials (some dark blues and reds) which can take a bit more work.
Good luck with your fountain pen cleaning.
Just get a cheap one from amazon. Something like this works good. Magnasonic Professional Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner with Digital Timer for Eyeglasses, Rings, Coins (MGUC500) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007Q2M17K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_lRlhFbWKQYCK5
I bought this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007Q2M17K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apap_A3IoTJmdsJsA6
That's not a meaningful expense. Cleaning is steam, so any good cappuccino maker will suffice. An ultrasonic cleaner costs $39 on Amazon;https://www.amazon.com/Magnasonic-Professional-Ultrasonic-Eyeglasses-MGUC500/dp/B007Q2M17K/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1MNCNHCR1JRP2&dchild=1&keywords=ultrasonic+jewelry+cleaner&qid=1591748298&s=grocery&sprefix=ultrasonic+jew%2Cgrocery%2C144&sr=1-1-catcorr
Manufacturers defects are generally covered for life on all online products. Whatever additional repair or rhodium costs you may encounter will be insignificant compared to the premium of an old school jewelry store.

This! And I'll go so far as to recommend one;
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007Q2M17K/
It's only $40.
I like this one after trying exactly two... LOL. I removed the lid to make things easier.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007Q2M17K/
I want a cleaner that LOOKS like it is working when turned on! :-)
I use an ultrasonic cleaner. I tried a smaller one that didn't work well; this one does;
Sorry for Canadian link :P but here's what I got from Amazon on Prime:
And you nailed it. I disassemble the CU (stem out, 3 o-rings out, detach top and bottom of CU). I've done a "lazy" clean where I don't even take apart the CU, and it works as long as it isn't too dirty.
Try to be careful with the O-rings but especially the stem's ring and the inner ring for the CU as they're pretty small. In my carelessness have almost lost both when I drain the dirty alcohol.
Isopropyl is cheap where I live but you can re-use the alcohol if that's your thing; I generally just dump and use a fresh batch, but whatever works.
Works well for me,

I winged it on the price. The one I have is 40. Anything jewelry related is relatively expensive. These things get up into the thousands.

This works so well for me paired with a jewelry cleaner
Not the person you asked, but I bought https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007Q2M17K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 in November and have had zero problems so far. It is very good. And target denture tablets. The only feature I would ask for is an easier way to pour it out. Mine has no "spout" so to say. Just have to dump it over.
I've been using this $40 number for probably 6 years now, for watch parts and also fishing reel parts. Never had a single problem, still cleans like a champ.

Sure no problem!! Magnasonic Professional... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B007Q2M17K?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I don't know how other jewellers will feel unless you are looking to buy something from them, but you really don't need to get your ring cleaned professionally that often. Get an ultrasonic cleaner and toothbrush (assuming you don't have pearls or opals).
This one is quite nice. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B007Q2M17K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

You can also get a loupe to inspect your own stones. https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B000EHLU8U/ref=ppx\_yo\_dt\_b\_search\_asin\_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Looks pretty much like yours, aside from the one big scratch. I had a lot of scares over the years, but every time I thought it had scratched, a day or two later the scratch was gone. I also occasionally run mine through an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner to de-grime it. Comes out sparkly every time.
Get yourself one of these.

https://amazon.com/Magnasonic-Professional-Ultrasonic-Eyeglasses-MGUC500/dp/B007Q2M17K
You’ll need 2 of these. One for the stem, one for the tip. Unfortunately it’s not long for both. *Never submerge the cap that contains the bimetallic discs that click. You will ruin it. *
Here’s the ultrasonic
The tubes serve to enclose the dyna but also to conserve on iso and throughout the height of the pandemic it was a great way to save. I’d fill it with iso, pop in a dash or so of baking soda and then submerge and let the ultrasonic do it’s thing
Not an item exactly, but I recommend joining r/airbrush.
Happy brushing!
I've been using this one for the last two years
https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B007Q2M17K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1

This one from Amazon :)
Oops...it’s gone up a bit since I got mine. This is the one I have and like :)
I saw some of those really small cleaners on aliexpress for under 20 bucks. I found one on amazon that looks a bit bigger for $33. Seems big enough that it should hold anything i print in the mono.
https://www.amazon.com/Magnasonic-Professional-Ultrasonic-Eyeglasses-MGUC500/dp/B007Q2M17K/ref=sr_1_3?dchild=1&keywords=ultrasonic+cleaner&qid=1606858859&sr=8-3
Thats a good idea with the little sprayer. Sometime i get a little impatient with postprocessing stuff, so i'm trying to figure out the easiest way to clean these guys that wouldn't stink up my home office. Seems like that cleaner with some simple green or other cleaner should work well.
Get an ultrasonic cleaner for like $40 on amazon. So much easier than messing with tablets and it works better. I have this one, it has held up for 6 years now. I rinse my retainers after each use and then throw it in the ultrasonic once a week. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007Q2M17K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I've considered ultrasonic cleaners. Right now, I just use scalding hot water, then a vodka bath, then I dry them on a paper towel in front of an air purifier.
-
20oz (600ml) seems to be the standard for personal use ultrasonic cleaners. Anything larger than that is well over $100.
These are the two most popular ones on Amazon:

Everyone has different budgets but Amazon has them for $35
I use an ultrasonic with Blitz Jewelry Cleaner and distilled water (I run the machine twice and scrub the ring with a soft toothbrush in between the two cycles), followed up by my steam cleaner. I don't know if the steam cleaner is 100% necessary, the ultrasonic + Blitz alone seem to do good enough of a job on their own.

Got myself a Magnasonic jewelry cleaner for bearing maintenance, among other things. Got the idea from the Shop-Task video. Tried it on my ancient bearings first, and it worked great to degrease and get the grime out. If anyone follows this method, my only advice would be two things:
Don't use water to rinse your bearings, use something like WD-40 (the "WD" stands for "water dispersal") to get the water out before you dry them. Even a brief few minutes of letting them sit with the trisodium phosphate/water solution still in them will lead to rust. Then dry them out with compressed air.
If you put the C-clips into the cleaning bath, be very mindful when pulling the basket out. The holes in the basket are fairly large, and I've lost two C-clips somehow just by carrying the basket a few feet to the next room.
PS, anyone know where to get replacement C-clips of the appropriate size?

It's been great. I use it to clean the Helio mouthpiece, ELBs and Vapexnails (all at the same time). With PBW and hot water it's a simple no brainer button press (or a few with nails) to get to perfectly clean results. No regrets here.
Yes, one drop of dish detergent, such as Dawn, in the water helps dissolve the old ink sludge. Do NOT use other fluids, such as alcohol or acetone, although a drop of ammonia will also work for stubborn clogs.
If you can get your hands on an Ultrasonic jewelry cleaner, the same applies, fill to water to the minimum line (or slightly higher) and 1 drop of dish detergent - works well.

I'd never heard of anyone doing it either. I just got curious about ways to clean the foils better and started experimenting. I just use soap / water in the solution and run it for about 10 minutes.

Ultrasonic jewelery cleaner. Something like this
It's current $40 at Amazon. I use the 180-second cleaning cycle plus a 1/2 tablet of Polident denture cleaner.
best thing I ever bought was a sonic cleaner. soooo satisfying to put those nasty parts in there and watch the dirt evaporate like smoke in the solvent. awesome for bearings, but it works on everything of course.
Back in the day we'd all use to just boil the hell out of our tanks and drip tips and but it was rare to see anything that wasn't stainless steel.
Now I use this this ultrasonic cleaner that's popular on this sub: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007Q2M17K/
First with a drop of dish soap, then you can lift the basket out and rinse it and dump the water and do one more washing. I gotta say the hype was real and it'll get inside every nook and cranny. Just be careful though because it has some power and a lot of the time grub screws will come out and hard to spot those suckers when they're nice and clean now too.
Something like this is a must for every vapor too: https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10025488/5648100-authentic-clrane-cleaning-brushes-for-e-cigarette - I'm sure Amazon has something similar and just figure out the conversion to Metric.

Since nobody has yet told you what they use, here you go. Works fine for me. Just be careful about which pens you put in it. If you aren't sure, don't use it. Don't get one with a heater.
Sure, I bought this one, but there are a bunch that are all really similar so I'm not sure it matters too much...good luck!
Good to know. To clarify, she currently uses these two products - should we stop using them? What if there's no solder joints, would your opinion change? Magnasonic Cleaner & Jewelry Concentrate cleaner
Does anyone use one of these cheaper, jewelery cleaners? http://www.amazon.com/dp/B007Q2M17K/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_nS_ttl?_encoding=UTF8&colid=2KOLDZ0QIYSD3&coliid=I6YQ0WZ13ED0S
I share my inks via ink samples at pen meets I host or online. Helps me use up what I have in inks and share at the same time! :D
As for cleaning nibs: have you tried an ultrasonic cleaner
