Yep! Any iPadOS device would work. What’s neat is that I only had a regular iPad, so to accommodate for the seats reclining and moving back, I bought this mount which has an extender on it. So you can recline both front seats as far back as you want without any issues.

Hah. I did the same thing and messed up the mounting. I just recently replaced my monitor though and found a solution, all be it not a very elegant one.

I put the magnetic strip on the face of one of these to put under my new monitor. It give me the right angles and is small enough to work.

I have been using the magnetic one. Best in the games. Bought it because easy to snap on without using two hands just snap on and drive baby. Easy for us drivers. Give it a look :

you'll need a metal shim to put on the back of your phone. i didn't want to stick one on my phone, so i put it in between the case and the phone. works well.

easy to take off on and put back on

I've had one of these in my 2nd Gen. Instead of sticking it to the windshield, I stuck it to the underside of the center console. Has worked great there and stays stuck because the suction cup is not in direct sunlight.

In my previous car, it had even fewer options so I mounted one of these to the passenger floorboard right in front of the seat bracket. it was overkill but I was doing Uber at the time so it worked great because the passenger could see the map better than if it was on the dash.

I’m guessing you could mount it appropriately for what you’re needing. 🙂

I use this mount, with this case. The case has a magnet so it just sticks to the mount without any effort to put it in to the mount. It works amazing. Obviously, you would have to get the equivalent case for whatever phone you have. The one piece of advice for the mount, its kind of a one shot chance to stick it where you need it on the windshield, so make sure it is exactly where it needs to be before sticking it on.
