The dash is really it. Also, it does not damage any standard dash materials. It peels off without too much difficulty and has not left residue when I have done it.

If you have a standard vinyl or leather dash, I wouldn't worry about it. If it is velvet or flocked, it won't really work.

FYI: The Amp mount is just a short row of neodymium magnets in a plastic base with an adhesive on the bottom. The Amp has a metal plate in the bottom that could stick to any magnetic base.

Huh yeah that's really odd. I've used this configuration all year long with ZF2 and earlier today with ZF3 with no issue... And these are the same mount I've used since... Maybe my s9/s10/s20 era.

My only other hunch will be that your mount has a much stronger magnetic field compared to mine? (I think mine is 4 magnets, is it possible yours is 6 magnets version? I tried looking for details on that Amazon page but found nothing)

If you're curious, maybe try a different mount to see if it's still the same issue?

Then you can buy extra magnets (stronger / cheaper) and put it anywhere you want. They are very secure and convenient.

I used a setup like that in my old work shop. Worked great to hold tools or my phone, etc. while tinkering in the shop.
