This is the one I use in my 2016. Cheap easy solution that has been stuck to the dash (left side of the screen) since I got it. There’s a magnet in my phone case so it sticks on and pulls off easily.

Magnetic mounts are the best. But I only like the ones that mount directly to your dash. I have this one it's super strong and I have it mounted right next to my AA head unit so my phone looks like an extension on my head unit. Absolutely perfect for Lyft and doordash.

currently using this one which I double sided taped to my previous magnetic mount. The magnet is the strongest I've used so far, and if this thing is any indication for their other models, those things will have strong magnets as well.

This sucker is strong enough to hold up my phone inside a case without one of those metal plates.

You don't really need the metal plate with this phone since the mount will grab onto the wireless charging coils inside the phone. It's not going to be as strong as with the metal plate, especially if you're using a mount with a smaller magnet or if you have a thick case on the phone. I'm using this one from wizgear with a Spigen thin fit case and it works great. Has a really strong hold and has never fallen off. It'll hold my gf's S7 with a lifeproof case too.

So I use a GoPro with a magnet mount. On the windshield I have another magnet with double sided black 3M tape attached. I recommend GoPro Hero 7 for best stabilization ��

Starting a few phones ago, I just made a custom car mount from two strong magnets (like this) and I don't even have to do any silliness for the phone or case, it just sticks.

I'll be using a magnetic mount applied to my dash

I bought this magnetic mount and installed it by screwing it into the tray about the stereo. It holds remarkably well and acts as my GPS most of the time. Since the picture, I have cleaned up the wires a bit and the USB comes out of the vent now. I also purchased a replacement tray so if I wanted to go back, I could (since I'd drilled holes in the one in the truck).

Here’s the one I bought - mounted it upright in the thin strip next to the stereo. Fits perfect!
