There’s not much of a source for those specifics. The training syllabus for enlisted aircrew on Air Force helicopters is much more in depth than what the crews in the 160th get. Not sure about the Os but rescue pilots are trained for that from the beginning of their time at Kirtland all the way through their careers. 160 Os and warrants get their SOF flying and training at the unit.
I would say they they are equal, just good at different jobs. It’s why Air Force Rescue picked up Luttrell and sat standby at a fob for CSAR with the QRF during Neptune Spear.
This is a great source for what the enlisted crews at the 160 do.
None Braver is a decent source for info on AF Rescue, but only one chapter really covers the aviators. You won’t find much info out there on CSAR, but this vid and pilot will give you a good look at what some of the flying is like.
BTW, my source is me. I was a backender in rescue from 02-06. I’m 100% biased.
