sorry all I know is I used to be like that, I went to school to be a Social service worker as well as for mental health and addictions, there are 3 different types of attachments that everyone develpps in childhood, you can see what attachment styl eyou are by googling "attachment styles" or somethign similar, i dont quite remember to be more speficif. i realised severe emotional neglect is a form of quite often ignored abuse towards childreen, including myself when i was a child, I did a lot of self work and read this ebook :
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00IKZG3D0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_d_asin_title_o05?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I was just in the correct spot when reading it that it "hit me right in the guts" but I was well enough to work through it on my own.

Its a bit of work, realise what attachment style the person is by examining relationships and how they failed, how they work, how the person feels about the relationship. Then identifying what spefic kind of abuse the person went through, or multiple, then treating the abuse or the mutiple abuse they went through.

In the case of emotional abuse it is the core most felt abuse.

my example from my life is a severly depressed father with a computer game addiction, would play 16 hours a day, not help my mother with anything, mother didnt have time for anything but to work to keep the household and food and clothing coming in, do laundry, clean the house. I was so bad at some point in my life i was afraid to make eye contact with people because that was the only time my father even looked away from the computer was when he was mad and the only eye contact I ever got from him.
The added on, if I ever asked him anythign he would mutter a yes or no response then get angry if I asked again because he cared so little he didnt even make the yes or no audible then got angry he had to repeat himself.
It took me quite a while to identify because no one thinks of emotional abuse as a valid abuse, they more focus on sexual or physical abuse, which i never went through.

Sorry if thats not enough but thats all the elaboration I can do.
