You should read this book, Mannerheim is basically the George Washington of your country. But the TLDR he led the Finnish White forces against the Finnish reds during the Finnish Civil War. Played a large role in the formation of the Finnish military and government in the interwar years, led Finland in the Winter War and Continuation War, and became President overseeing the transition to peace. All while not being Finnish himself and not learning Finnish until he was an adult.
