Ok, so I highly recommend this for beginners. This guy was like the Bob Ross of children's drawing. Yes, it's for kids, but he teaches all the fundamentals and will help you develop the skills needed before doing anatomy and figure drawing.
Mark kristlers imagination station
My very favorite book for teaching kids (and everyone) how to draw is Mark Kistler's Imagination Station. Mark Kistler is maybe one of the best art instructors out there. His approach is to teach the foundations of art technique and quite a bit of theory (his "Renaissance words") through the process of making silly cartoon drawings. The lessons and prompts in the book are a lot of fun, and aimed directly at an 8-year-old kid who loves to draw. He's had several drawing shows on PBS, and if you search his name on Google, you'll get a lot of great video lessons from him, as well.
Hello there fellow artist! I have three favorites for people learning to draw. By no means exhaustive, but its stuff I've used and found easy to follow.
1st is Mark Kistlers imagination station He had a video series on PBS, kinda the Bob Ross of beginner artists. Lots of basic principles that will make your stuff look 1000% better
2nd is How to draw comics the marvel way even if you're not into comics, it'll teach the more advance basics.
Last is Proko He's a younger guy that is ridiculously good. He has lots of free tutorials and some paid classes as well. He's primarily about figure drawing, but thats mostly my thing too. I dont have and materials for landscapes.
Best of luck!
