They can get quite expensive. $40 for a Marth Amiibo for instance.
If you think that the figurines are worth it then go ahead and buy some. Most of the other Amiibos are closer to the $15-$20 mark so they're not too overpriced.
I personally think that they are overcharging for some of them and that they have purposely under produced them in order to create artificial demand. I won't buy any myself as I don't think they're worth the price for a figurine. (I don't have a WiiU so the DLC aspect doesn't affect me.)
I managed to snag a Marth just now while he was flickering. I used the refresh trick, but the One-Click never showed up on the listing page that everyone is using. Here's how I managed to get him;
I went over to the search bar, and brought up the main page (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00N4ABOXU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and I saw his price was at $12.99 after refreshing a couple of times. I was able to use One-Click and got the error message (Out of stock from the seller) but I kept refreshing the page, and the order went through!! So if you don't see the one click option on the multiple listing page, go to his main page and refresh that page until you see the $12.99 option pop up. I guess the One-Click button is disabled on the listing page only / only occasionally pops up. Then ctrl-left click the One Click button and hope it goes through. But DON'T close out of the tab once you get the price at $12.99. Keep it open! I know most of this has been posted a lot (the refreshing page trick and ctrl+click trick) but yeah, try buying him from the other page instead and see if that helps. Hope you guys are able to snag one!
Is there any difference between using the link in the OP vs. the direct page link? Like this:
It's easier to use Page Monitor with the direct page, the buying options one goes off constantly.
What do you mean start the rest of the process?
Originally I tried your method, but that was before the post was updated, so I tried to use the following page for 1-click:
and the url for the page following that just said:
"Please confirm that you want to add the item(s) listed below to your cart.
There are no items to add to your cart.
And I know for a fact that auto-refreshing that page doesn't auto-buy for you, so frankly I don't understand what you mean by "start the rest of the process".
Marth and Villager still up:
nah here 2 left at msrp
I'm on the west coast, I was able to get one but I did notice something weird like that happening. I was able to see $12.99 when I went from this link from this thread but when I tried going to the overall amiibo page and clicking new it didn't show it.
^That's ^why ^I'm ^here, ^I ^don't ^judge ^you. ^PM ^/u/xl0 ^if ^I'm ^causing ^any ^trouble. ^WUT?

Best Buy is Sold Out
1) Auto refresh page (Or F5) on this page: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00N4ABOXU/ref=shptrk_scth
2) Wait until it shows as available while listening to music & drinking soda / coffee to keep you alive.
3) Once the page shows Marth available for $12.99 stop refreshing the page.
4) Try using CTRL + Left Click on the "Buy now with 1 Click" button (this should open up a new tab), see if it went through, if not, it will give you a warning that there is no stock available. Close the new tab and keep trying to click CTRL + Left Click that "Buy now with 1 Click" button until it works.
That's the best method to obtain one on Amazon, but it's still no guarantee. Good luck! :D
