I find locks just make you a more obvious or interesting target - it screams ''I HAVE SOMETHING VALUABLE!''
That said, these locks are very small, not too conspicuous, and non-TSA. They only require 3 digits though, so it would only take <22 minutes to crack on an average of 45 combinations a minute. (in the best case scenario, which isn't realistic, unless your code really is 999 and the thief starts at 000)
Locking carabiners or clips are much less conspicuous, versatile, and usually affordable while also greatly slowing down thieves and whatnot. And typically weigh less than locks
