The $10 MIR just offsets the $10 shipping.
It's $45 with free shipping at Amazon. So you wouldn't need to go through the MIR process.
Cooler Master Q300L.
They also have Q300P if you wanna RGB it up, but I prefer the Q300L mostly because it'll have better airflow
It just released the other day, and backorder on newegg.
So I just ordered the exact list you provided, with this case instead. I'm sorry if this is a stupid question but I want to make sure: should I order any extra fans? Does the cpu come with a capable heatsink?
I just want to make sure that on Tuesday when all of the parts listed above have arrived, that I can put it all together and be up and running.
Thank you again so much, your help has gone a long way.
Thank you.
Can you tell me which wireless network adapter i can get with that motherboard? it's the only thing i see missing. And what thermal compound to pick?
And if you don't mind, to understand better, can you help me with these questions/options?
Thank you for your help understanding all this :)
Four fans total. If you're looking into the clear side of the tower, I have a fan on the top right facing down, and two fans on the right side facing in. Lastly, by the CPU on the left side, I have a fan pointing out. Could post a pic later.
Here's the case, should have plenty of opportunities for airflow. https://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-Transparent-Adjustable-Ventilated/dp/B0785GRMPG
If you prefer a micro-ATX case which will look better with your motherboard, you could get the well-reviewed Cooler Master Masterbox Q300L.
It's cheaper and smaller than the case you have choosen. It has good airflow, and should accomodate you choosen components with no issues.

Just this basic one for $50 on Amazon. I'll have to run an ATX power cable extension to reach the motherboard, but those are only like $10. I didn't want something huge on my desk, and this one seems to have good ventilation and plenty of room for the 3080 and some extra fans.
The factory case can be made to work well. Fill it with some high static pressure fans and they do ok. I just wanted to go a different direction.
A few things: 1. Your motherboard has built in audio, do you need an sound card? 2. Unless you want your PC to look cooler (no pun intended) an air cooler should be plenty, you don’t need water cooling. An NHU-12s should be fine 3. If you really need to cut costs, this case should be fine: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0785GRMPG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_EKFEYN0M8HANDT2E14M2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Gonna put in a plug for the Cooler Master MasterBox Q300L. $50 on Amazon, and you can reassemble it to mount the system in different orientations inside, for example to have the window on the right side of the case, instead of the more common left side.
Amazon link slightly bigger than nr200 but it would be a great alternative especially for your problem
Unfortunately your mb is one tier too large. If you want to stick to a SFF micro atx build I’d recommend Metalfish S5. Otherwise any microATX case will work fine. Like this
There is also Amazon for $45 and prime shipping: https://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-Transparent-Adjustable-Ventilated/dp/B0785GRMPG/ref=pd_sbs_147_2/135-8878929-0032149?_encoding=UTF8&pd_rd_i=B0785GRMPG&pd_rd_r=27c59861-1bb8-4476-b48e-5f4595187aa3&pd_rd_w=UsIRU&pd_rd_wg=J0G5D&a... But I got free shipping from Newegg that should be in by the 6th.
My personal pick would be the q300l. Good ventilation and looks nice. It has ports on the front panel though so it might not be your style This should be 45ish usd, regularily goes on sale.
Saw the Q300L is back in stock on amazon. Can we expect sales on that next week too? It's the last piece before I can start my build.
As a developer, I built an extremely similar computer to speed up my compile times (& gaming) a couple years back. My goals were smaller and quieter than my old full tower beast. I ended up going with the Cooler Master Q300L because its m-atx, full mesh, 4 x 140mm fans at low rpm is easy, & it has very nice magnetic filters front, top, & bottom. It seems to have gotten more expensive with time, though I do remember getting mine a bit cheaper on a sale, so shop around.
absolutely. so somethings you should know about this build is that:
the motherboard says "Expected availability: 7-14 business days". Most other motherboards say this as well (probably because of covid). I chose this one since it has a B550 chipset, the newest from AMD.
It only has 240gb of storage. You can add a hard drive later on if you want. If you have an old laptop/desktop lying around you can scavenge the hard drives from them.
The case. It's a very cheap case that i'm not really sure about. I would recommend the other guys case which was $13 more but looks a lot more promising, even more so since it is from Cooler Master.
Used 1060 I was seeing we're like 120-140. Def like the other recommendations tho
EDIT: I really like this this case thoughts on that
What about the case? Besides the materials, what benefit does it have over this one: Cooler Master MasterBox Q300L mATX Tower w/Magnetic Design Dust Filter, Transparent Acrylic Side Panel, Adjustable I/O & Fully Ventilated for Airflow https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0785GRMPG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_sf9IDbCSV1G31
Thank you for your response.
Thanks for the reminder! I have a few cards laying around I'll use. The case I'm just buying is this one on amazon for 30$ Unless something else catches my eye, I figure with shipping costs used would be a hard route to go for the case.
Same price on amazon, but with free shipping:
https://www.amazon.ca/Cooler-Master-MCB-Q300L-KANN-S00-MATX-Case/dp/B0785GRMPG
After some more case research I'm thinking either
No worries, I'd say I'm the wrong person to ask about a case. Because I'm a r/sffpc aficionado, aka very small compact case builds, I currently have a r/FormD case if your curious lol everything runs cool too.
This are some quick results I got, again I kinda hate big cases so I don't know lol
this is the one I liked most from what I saw, because of the very good airflow
and these are the others which a very rgb
It's actually my computer case, here is the link https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0785GRMPG/ref=cm_sw_r_awdo_3PWB3SHB49Q6JQH3NSWA
I would not buy an afermarket cooler at your budget, the cpu comes with a stock cooler which is sufficient. That is the cheapest motherboard you can buy online. There is the Asrock H510M for $80 on Canada Computers but it is only sold in stores.
I would buy this cpu for $220(Seller Amazon.ca): https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B086MN38Q2?tag=pcp0f-20&linkCode=ogi&th=1&psc=1
So you can start using your PC until you get a graphics card.
You should check out this case

I forgot, I wanted this case
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0785GRMPG/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_0OJ7FbQEVMHAP?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
Also for a case like that, I'd advice more fans for better airflow
And actually this case is cheaper and more updated with more capacity

It's the cooler master masterbox q300l. I really like it, very easy to build in, and plenty of room and holes to feed cables through, only 50 bucks too.
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0785GRMPG?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I built in this a couple times for budget builds and its at msrp price right now if youre interested in new
It's the 3700x model. I used the wraith prism cooler that the processor ships with and the motherboard temp is 30'C. Case is this cooler master.

CPU: Really good CPU for budget you are working with imo, if you really wanted to upgrade it (which probably don't if you want to stay within your budget) I would go with the Ryzen 5 3600.
Motherboard: All around solid budget board with built in wifi
Memory: 16GB of DDR4 3200MHz CL16 ram. Pretty standard stuff.
Storage: 1TB of HDD (hard drive) storage, and 240GB of SSD (solid state drive). SSD is much faster than HDD, so it will make your computer boot much faster. If you want to save some money, you can ditch the SSD, or upgrade the SSD and ditch the HDD. Your call.
Video Card: The RX 570 has the best price/performance rates imo, however this is the part I would recommend upgrading the most if you are willing to go out of budget.
Case: I actually use this case for my personal pc, and had a really good experience with it. It's a micro-itx case which means its a little smaller. If you want to save some money you could pick a cheaper case but you would be sacrificing a lot of aesthetic.
PSU: Not the biggest power supply ever. If you plan on upgrading your PC down the line, I would go with a 500W PSU
Case Fans: PCPartPicker didn't have the fans I wanted to give you, but I still wanted them to be included in the total price so I just added some random ones. I recommend these.

LMK if you have any questions!
I am currently thinking of the following:
CORSAIR Vengeance 2x8 3200 on dell for 80.99 (Yes, its overpaying but its 'free')
Cooler Master MasterBox Q300L on Amazon for 49.99
EVGA BR, 80+ Bronze 500W on Amazon for 49.99
I have the SSD and Windows already, so dont need to count that.
and the 3400g and Gigabyte B450M DS3H AMD AM4 mATX Motherboard for ~200 flat from my microcenter
Sadly, my MC doesnt have any 3200g in stock. I could save maybe 30-40 dollars by buying the 3200g on Newegg and the B450 MOBO @ MC seperately. Do you think the 3400g is a 30-40 value more than the 3200g?
For reference's sake, I was planning on playing HotS and Halo 3 on (wishful thinking) 100+ FPS on 1080p. HotS is a moba and H3 is a very old game at this point. I personally have a rx 390x from ~5 years ago and am running both of those at 4k 60fps on high.
I cant really wait that long, as I will be needed to be at my parents house in the coming weeks for a few days here and there. But just for fun, how much better will the new aGPUs be on the newer ryzen?
If you're looking for compact and you already have a matx board, is suggest something like a Masterbox Q300L-
https://www.amazon.com/Cooler-Master-Transparent-Adjustable-Ventilated/dp/B0785GRMPG
For Psu if you're fine with a rebate the Phanteks Amp 550w is at a great value right now. It's a fantastic psu made by seasonic, fully modular, and has a 10 year warranty. Should last you a long, long time with really solid power delivery. Also has a hybrid mode where it'll run without fans until you start loading it up during heavier workloads.
What's a good cpu heatsink that will fit in this case . https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0785GRMPG/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_4HD7DbKFF4MBA
Buying parts for my first PC today and i'm still a bit on the fence about the case. This one was recommended to me, but it's a bit too pricey for me, so i was wondering if either of these two would work aswell:
I like both more visually and they're both cheaper, but i'm not sure if they would work for my build. Not sure what i need to look out for, so would appreciate some help.
(I'm also open to suggestions for Cases, haven't done much digging)
Gonna paste the build here, so see for yourselves.

I would not recommend the 600B a better PSU is the SuperNova 550 which unlike the 600B has high quality components and a 7 year warranty and for your case forget the Deepcool, for 39$ USD you can get a MasterBox Q300L, for your graphics card you can get a RX 570 brand new for 100$ USD and will kick the 1050ti and you will also need a 1TB drive later on because just 240GB won't cut it.
are you sure you want a $40 and under mATX mini tower? All of them have mediocre airflow at best; the focus g ATX is $50 and the focus g mATX is $60, both having excellent airflow, and the next best option is the cougar mx330 for $40, having OK airflow, but for $40 and under, there's not really a lot of options
That being said, this is probably the best case that will fit your specifications
currently for psu's, the cx 2017 series is on sale for under 30 dollars, so if you're on a tight budget, you might wanna grab this
$5 more you could spring for the q300l by coolermaster. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0785GRMPG/?tag=pcpapi-20
this case? is this the one you were talking about?
It's now available. At Amazon for $40: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0785GRMPG
