Check out Maxisun, I find them to be the most $/per watt bang for my buck. Probably sold out by the time you see this but they are cheap compared to everyone else.

you got ripped good if you only got a ballast for 100.00. HPS is outdated it uses a ton of power if you can sell it GET THIS LIGHT it will last at least 3-5 years without changeing the bulb and has a good ouput for 2-3 plants.

Apart from the physical deformation shown in the first image, where the bottom leaves are sorta wavy, they look really good to me. (I couldnt find any info online and it doesn't seem to be indicating any issues, especially because the rest of the leaves are growing in fine. If you have any ideas, let me know). I think these are going to be my first successful harvest. I have two plants here, both the same strain, but one is a lot more lanky and long, (still short, but wider) and the other is a lot more stocky. Anyone know if thats common for two seeds of the same strain to grow so differently? Also, I'm not sure if its a trick of the light, in the second image, the leaves are starting to look yellow... but when I look at them they still are green, just a lighter tinge than the bottom leaves.

Hi, I'm new to succulents but my wife and I dove in head-first this year. Our succulents lived outside most of the spring/summer and now are bringing them inside. I just bought this light from amazon to cover a 3x2ft area of plants. I sunburned a few plants this summer and have learned my lesson, but I'm now more concerned with sunburned plants than etiolation, especially with the light I bought.

My question is how far do I need to keep this light above my succulents? 18"? 22"? Thanks!

I have 3 of these and they're just as good as my kingbrites, which are just as good as the "name brand" qbs. Kingbrite via alibaba is good, but it is nice to order through amazon. 2 day delivery and if it's busted you can actually return it

I dont recommend buying a starter grow kit, i learned the hard way. You will end up upgrading things and it ends up costing more than just buying quality the first time, Heres my set up now hopefully it helps.

• old water jug from a water cooler, filled with tap water ( test the ph and make sure its reasonable) then I take a air pump for a aquarium with a air stone and put it in the bottom of the jug. Let it sit for 24 hours before using so the water gets to room temp and all the chlorine gets out of it.
