I have the Brightlines bars that someone mentioned already, and the maxxhaul basket from amazon. I’ve been super happy with them so far. Had the basket filled for two separate long road trips and didn’t have any issues, and everything still feels secure.
I should mention that I did plastidip the basket after assembly to help waterproof it after reading the reviews.
I got this basket off Amazon. You will need the Volkswagen cross bar kit.
I like this because you can put your stuff in a plastic tote and ratchet strap it down.
MAXXHAUL 46" x 36" x 4-1/2" - 150... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073G49NPV?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I decided to start with this one and upgrade if need be, but so far I don’t see a need to as this one has held up. Some people had issues with them rusting and advised beefing up the weatherproof-ness. I covered the welds, joints, and screw holes with roofing sealant, sprayed the whole thing with “truck bed liner” and covered the exposed hardware with electrical tape.
This is the basket: MaxxHaul 46" x 36" x 4-1/2" - 150 lb. Capacity - NOT Assembled 70115 Steel Roof Rack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073G49NPV/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_C7JKYX8W60FSTZ28C77Y?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
I did spray it with black Flex Seal because some reviews said that water could get into the joints and cause rust over time. I like the look better without a logo and haven't had any issues with water or rust since it's been on.
Yakima 48" bars mounted on Yakima Landing Pad 11's (discontinued, ✔ Craigslist) I had these on an '06 Mazda 3 Hatch and they fit here too.
Carefully pulling roof gutter covers reveals 4 threaded mounting points, which receive Landing Pad hardware.
I marked gutter strips, drilled out holes for mounting 11's through to the roof anchored receivers. New stainless hardware, mounted old Yakima fairing and added everyone's favorite cheapo Amazon roof basket with u-bolts and voila. Not terribly noisy and not TOO big of a mileage killer.
I use a cheap one from amazon. Easy to install and remove, you just have to paint it because a lot of reviews said it rusted without paint.

I think its this

The basket is Maxxhaul and the bars are CargoLoc, both good options on Amazon and not too expensive.

I have this from Harbor Freight. You can also get it from Amazon. I like the sleek lower profile on it 👍

I agree 100%, the V has plenty of space. However, some things pushed me to get a roof rack:
As for what equipment I have:
If you're not really traveling extensively or with multiple people, then the Veloster is fantastic on space. I typically uninstall the rack completely when I'm not doing any serious travel, takes like 10 minutes to take it on/off.
Sorry if that was a bit long winded lol

I'm not talking about the bars, I was referring to a rack that holds stuff, like this. It will block the sunroof.
I bought the whole set up here on Amazon - just make sure to spray the rack with anti rust spray:

Same as this one. Just a rebrand or a rebrand of a rebrand here you go
Function first, but yes I want it to look good. I was first looking at https://www.amazon.com/dp/B073G49NPV/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_1XKB7VJQ7WSQ15N82NXM definitely more affordable which I prefer as well. What reasons for the yakima price?
Ahh no worries I assumed you meant basket haha. I looked at it but the sticker/brand was faded out. I saw one on Amazon that looks very similar which isn't too expensive: https://www.amazon.com/MaxxHaul-70115-Steel-Rack-150-Capacity/dp/B073G49NPV/ref=sr_1_10?crid=2UQ12DD0FL75A&dchild=1&keywords=roof+rack+cargo+carrier&qid=1615225551&sprefix=roof+rack%2Caps%2C303&sr=8-10
I did fit a 33" tire up there without issues on mine

Easy to install, cheap, and I used it to haul alotta stuff to yuma, sequoia, yosemite, mammoth, and kennedy meadows.

Did some digging and it looks like the super cheap ones (https://www.reddit.com/r/CherokeeXJ/comments/c4bex4/found_some_reviews_of_our_15_ebay_roof_rack_and/) didnt work out (https://www.reddit.com/r/CherokeeXJ/comments/c5xynn/that_roof_rack_aint_looking_so_good/) and the ebay/amazon market has leveled out.
Cheapest I currently found on amazon is still the one I bought in 2018: https://smile.amazon.com/MaxxHaul-70115-Steel-Rack-150-Capacity/dp/B073G49NPV/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=maxxhaul&qid=1570734169&sr=8-1. (Though when I bought it it was $65, currently $70.)
All theMaxxhaul, Leader, Arksen, "Direct Aftermarket" stuff on amazon is all the same thing (like, the same exact product with a different label) as the Haulmaster.
I just bought the cross bars and roof rack for my 2019. Look nice.

Prinsu is the cream of the crop for a roof rack but you pay for it.
After that Yakima and Thule are two big brands that makes quality gear, but you pay for the brand name. These will be 200-400, but lean towards the high end of that range.
Finally, there are baskets under 200. I would only look at these if you can find 3rd party reviews or it has a sufficient number of reviews on something like Amazon. I bought this cheap cargo box from Amazon. It works fine, especially for the price, but it was difficult to put together, I had to replace the little screws it came with, and fill the places it connected to itself with silicon and wrap that in tape. For less than 1/4 the price of some high end cargo boxes, I'm pleased with it but since people might want something fancier.
If I found a good deal on a nice cargo basket I would be tempted, but only because it looks better and might be quieter. I don't think a higher end basket would actually hold my gear better.
It doesn't look like you have crossbars on Jadis, so remember to factor that into your price of a cargo basket. The prinsu rack linked above does not require cross bars.
