This isn't new, this is exactly the same as my Mayflash fightstick, exact body and everything...works with Playstation, Xbox and PC. It's got cheap parts or considered to be some of the cheapest parts for fightsticks in general, but the useful bit is the 'turbo' feature that it allows for some buttons.
This is nothing but a rebrand or third party acquiring already available parts from a parts supplier. It's very similar to units like a XIM4 that use a controller as a middle man to provide inputs across a controller. You plug the unit or fightstick into the console first then then plug the controller into the fightstick and it piggy backs of the controller inputs.
Its actually 50 bucks on amazon. Its not a bad fightstick. I would recommend it, but I'm not very familiar with fight sticks so i cant say if its amazong or not. The reviews are great tho. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019MFPLC0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_t1_mO7FBb7QWGJRD
Ive had this ( https://www.amazon.com/Mayflash-F300-Arcade-Joystick-SWITCH/dp/B019MFPLC0/ref=mp_s_a_1_3?crid=HLC6G8M4AVSV&keywords=arcade+stick&qid=1552919082&s=gateway&sprefix=arcade+stick&sr=8-3) stick for about 3 weeks. It has good reviews, rather cheap and ive noticed no issues besides the stick moves a bit past the neutral position when flicked causing it the put another input in. Ive player maybe 20 - 40 hours with it just over the past week since i was on break and I haven't had a single issue with it registering the extra input. Good luck in shopping and have a good day.
This one specifically uses the Mayflash F300 shell (its technically an NES30 from 8bitdo, but same shell). Assuming your project is for an arcade stick it might be Okay lol. I would look up project boxes on amazon if you want something more general purpose.
I'm finally getting around to this, and am about to order the Mayflash F300 Fight Stick (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B019MFPLC0/ref=ask_ql_qh_dp_hza). The couple of questions posted about Mac OS have unclear or contradictory responses, so I think I'm just going to have to order one & return it if it ends up not working.
What I'm thinking is a joystick similar to this one so its a bigger stick for him to do the swing on. They were made for fighting games, so may not be as smooth but it could be worth a crack!
I got this for my Switch and Iove it! Looks like it's on sale too. Great price and also compatible with PS3, PS4, PS5, xboxs and Windows. I got the smaller one, but it doesn't feel like a mini arcade stick, actually feels perfect size to me.
The Mayflash F300 is available and in stock at Amazon AU for $86.99 with free delivery. Excellent stick for a beginner and can be upgraded to Sanwa parts if you wish. https://www.amazon.com.au/Mayflash-F300-Arcade-Joystick-Switch/dp/B019MFPLC0/ref=sr\_1\_1?dchild=1&keywords=mayflash+f300&qid=1625495116&sr=8-1
Also consider this stick Mayflash F300 Arcade Fight Stick Joystick for Xbox Series X, PS4,PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, PC, Switch, NeoGeo mini, NeoGeo Arcade Stick Pro https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019MFPLC0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_WEM9H0Y84BHP85FW0WV2 really nice starter stick also open to modding you can see alot of examples in r/fightsticks
If you’re looking for a fight stick, I’d highly recommend the Mayflash F300. It’s what I use and its a great entry stick. I upgraded the stick to a Sanwa stick and octagonal gate. It’s not too hard to modify it. Don’t be afraid to take it apart and unplug/plug some stuff in. If you do you’ll have a quality stick at a pretty good price (less than $100 USD).
As someone who loves Tekken, and in particular 7, for all its amazing qualities as well as shortcomings, now is the best time to jump in, any OP characters are at a standstill, new players are in so you can jump in and not get auto destroyed, just making sure to pick up a fighting stick prior
Well considering your a pc gamer I’d say either pick up a fight stick or just use ur keyboard. Here’s a link to the one i use, It goes really cheap for 60$ USD and has lasted me atleast a year and a half. Good luck bro and enjoy playin the game https://www.amazon.com/Mayflash-F300-Arcade-Joystick-Switch/dp/B019MFPLC0
It's wired but there's also this wireless option.
If you're extremely casual then get it, but I wouldn't recommend it. Especially since you say you that larger hands. The buttons are 20 mm and even the balltop is a smaller size.
Go for the Mayflash f300, it is hovering above the $50 range on Amazon. It works on the switch after an update and supports standard size stick/buttons. And it's easy to upgrade to real arcade parts later on.
Mayflash F300 is your best bet at that range. Takes an additional controller being plugged into the stick but will work on mast platforms. Has a good sized mod following too. Will fit upgrades to anything sanwa, siemetsu or gamerfinger. Sites support art templates for it too.
On sale at Amazon for $52 right now.
the mayflash f300 is on sale for $54 on amazon right now. imo its seemingly the best start fightstick since if you want to upgrade you can even just replace the stock parts with sanwa or anything else that fits and also fits your preference.
https://www.amazon.com/Mayflash-F300-Arcade-Joystick-Switch/dp/B019MFPLC0
Complete noob here when it comes to arcade stick. Got DBFZ a while back but play it with game pad. I used to play Super Street Fighter 2 and Street Fighter Alpha back in the 90s with the arcade sticks for Genesis/PS1. When it comes to Arcade sticks, what should I look for? I saw this on Amazon getting good reviews for beginners seems like it can be customized as well.
I'd go PS4, there are more people to play in general and most tournaments run PS4 so it could be an easier transition.
The actual net code is fine. Not that most people actually understand anything about what they call 'net code'. But for BBTAG it largely depends on your connection and the connection of the person you pair up against.
I always suggest playing with a controller first. Especially with a game like BB TAG. I played with a controller for a few months and later picked up the Mayflash F300. It's not like the best fight stick in the world but it's been a good stick nonetheless. No problems with it and I'd say it was a solid investment for the amount it cost.
I am also fairly new to fighting games. I watched the Central Fiction Top 8 at EVO 2017 with a friend and absolutely had to get into it. Picked up Central Fiction and shortly after DBFZ. Now BBTAG and UNIST. I competed at EVO 2018 last year for BBTAG, DBFZ, and Smash. I didn't win (Obviously) but I certainly didn't do bad. Especially having been playing for less then a year. So yes, you can do it if you have the drive, patience, and will to keep picking yourself up when youre down because fighting games are not easy. For the record, I'm almost 10 years older than you.
Would you recommend something like these? https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B019MFPLC0?pf_rd_p=d1f45e03-8b73-4c9a-9beb-4819111bef9a&pf_rd_r=GZ1HQ92BY9WQWV53H3CF. I only have a xbox one controller atm. would like to see if a fightstick would be better to use.
i got this one:
great price. no modifications necessary to put in sanwa if you want, i haven't this is great budget.
i purchased the older mayflash and put put in custom pcb and added sanwa stuff. this is good enough that i forgot about even buying parts haha, try it , there is also a version with easy change out art for 20$ more i think.
I was hoping to get a more entry level stick before I start shelling out tons of money. I was thinking this one for now. Is it ok?
You can get a Mayflash F300 and put Sanwa buttons in it for under $100 and the default stick hasn't given me any issues over a couple hundred hours of BlazBlue and Guilty Gear. Note that if you use it on console it has to plug into a controller to work.
Mine came out to $90 modded with Sanwa Silent buttons. I did end up spending $4 more on some 3/4" hex nuts I glued into the base later to add weight so it wouldn't slide around in my lap (which worked perfectly).
I was in the same boat, I was trying to find a good fightstick for cheap. I found this one and I got it, it's a great stick. I'm trying to get used to stick controls but from everything I read its a great stick to customize.
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B019MFPLC0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
This May flash for about 59.99 i got for a friend says it's a good "starter".
Overtime its a solid practice arcade stick to afford and if you're still not ready for a more expensive arcade stick. You CAN customize the buttons or the square gate if you want to.
So I assume this means that the legacy mode in SF5 is not in this game? Can I use that universal stick I read about?
Mayflash F300 Arcade Fight Stick Joystick for PS4 PS3 XBOX ONE 360 PC https://www.amazon.com/dp/B019MFPLC0/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_CtfVzbBV1200W
150 Arcade stick... yeah right
Apparently that thing is pretty good though and is pretty much the same price as an Xbox or PS controller.
I realize that I need to go up to $199 + for a great stick that will last me.
I stumbled upon this in a thread here: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B019MFPLC0/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
It might be a little on the small side, but as an entry point, budget stick, doesn't this look OK?
I got this because it was just to see if I would actually like playing stick. Now that I do, i'm definitely looking to upgrade to something with more quality
don't get either - get one of these
https://www.amazon.com/Mayflash-F300-Arcade-Fight-Joystick/dp/B019MFPLC0
it's actually a very solid smaller-ish fightstick with great compatibility/build quality/weight and the buttons/lever are surprisingly nice. I've had mine for almost a year and while I've since (painlessly) modded it with Sanwa parts, I wholeheartedly endorse it as a beginners stick to just about anyone even without the Sanwa mods.
hey I'm not as serious about fighting games to buy a $300 stick (which is absolutely crazy do they come with heroine or something?) Anyway I was looking at this https://www.amazon.com/F300-Mayflash-Arcade-Fight-Joystick/dp/B019MFPLC0 and wondering if this is good enough to hold me for awhile?

I did this:
bam, awesome stick for around $110 not counting shipping; NO SOLDERING OR DRILLING NEEDED.
As long as you buy FOUR of the "American Style" .187 harnesses, the Crown 309MJ will plug right into the Mayflash F300's PCB. A single .187 to 5pin harness will work too (to plug into the unused 5pin connector on the Mayflash F300's board), but they are currently out of stock of them on FocusAttack.
The Crown 309MJ is a Korean stick designed to fit in Japanese-style enclosures. If you buy any other type of Crown stick or a Fanta, it will not fit in your Mayflash F300 without drilling.

Mayflash F300 - $50-60 amazon link
Good effort and I know we all gotta start somewhere.
I recommend this to get you started: Amazon Mayflash F300
I started off with this as my first stick: Mayflash Stick
And then I proceed to modding. Good Luck
People seem to suggest the Mayflash f300 or 8Bitdo for an extra 30, it seems to do better than the upgraded f500. If you got a lot of money to burn on this and want something nice, there is the f300 and f500 elites that seem to be the top of the line across a few different lists. If you are looking for something specific or in a different price bracket lmk, theres some other stuff that's a bit cheaper. (starting at like 30 dollars but you start to feel the cost cutting there)
Amazon Links below:
f300 Start
f500 Meh
8-bitdo Good
f300 elite Bettter
f500 elite Best
It’s a mayflash F300. It can be found here
How is the wrist itself? You could shift most of the work from your fingers to your wrist and elbow with an arcade stick. Use software like reWASD to map the stick to wasd, then use the mouse like normal with your right hand. If your wrist bothers you with a setup like that, a wrist brace might help.
everyone will tell you to drop 200 minimum on a stick, but i'm here to say if you're not sure it's for you and want something entry level that's plug n play on switch, get the mayflash f300 (https://www.amazon.com/Mayflash-F300-Arcade-Joystick-Switch/dp/B019MFPLC0) imo. You'll end up wanting to upgrade eventually, but it'll help you evaluate whether or not it's for you.
So different buttons and it being smaller mean that they aren’t competitors??? 🤦♂️

Above, I have linked two different fight sticks with different sizes, buttons and parts. They are both in the realm of “budget fight sticks” that new fighting game players are torn between often.
Yes, they offer slightly different experiences. That does not mean they do not compete. The world isn’t filled with exact copies of products competing with each other. Arby’s and McDonald’s can compete with one another even if Arby’s doesn’t have burgers. I don’t get why that is so hard to grasp.
https://www.amazon.com/Mayflash-F300-Arcade-Joystick-Switch/dp/B019MFPLC0 Works on basically everything.
If you are a fighting game enthusiast, I would suggest trying a stick at some point. I personally find some games feel much better on stick and plenty are comfortable on pad. It all boils down to preference.
I play this game on stick. It's way better imho. Assigning a button per finger feels like the intended way to play zato.
That being said, there's an amazing zato called knowkami that absolutely obliterates as zato using pad.

The problem with deciding for pad or stick is that you need a stick and some time to decide if the purchase was even a good one. I'm using what is considered the best bargain arcade stick atm. It's the cheapest you can get while still being quality enough to decide if you like using stick AT ALL. (mayflash f300. It's the price of a normal controller. Not a bad investment imho)
Thanks, I just ordered one from Amazon to give it a try.
If you only care about SFV and T7 compatibility, I would suggest either the Mayflash F300 or the Qanba Carbon (I know it says it only works with PS3, but the PS4 version of both of these games are compatible with PS3 controllers). They are cheaper than the Drone, so if you ever want to upgrade the buttons and the joystick, it will cost you less overall (about $40 for a full Sanwa part swap for any arcade stick).
https://www.amazon.ca/Mayflash-F300-Arcade-Joystick-SWITCH/dp/B019MFPLC0
I have the Mayflash F300 and its a very good beginner stick and cheap also ~90 CAD. It has a surprising weight to it and the stick and the buttons feel good enough. Its also compatible with other consoles and PC.
Mayflash F300 (Preferebly the elite version since you wont have to bother to swap out for better buttons in the future).
There is also the F500 wich is bigger.
Personaly im looking into getting my hands on the 8bitdo arcade stick. But if you want to swap out the joystick in the future, you might have to do some soldering.

There is the Qanba Carbon, wich is a REALLY cheap stick, but I have never used one myself so I dont know how it would hold up for the future. (Cant imagine it would be any worse than a regular Mayflash tho) Dont see why it wouldnt work as a placeholder until you go for expensive sticks.
There is also the Qanba Drone Q1. Same as above.
I have never used the mini so take what I say with a grain of salt.
I have heard that its a pretty decent stick that does the job for the cost, it is however very lightweight and slides around quite a big which makes you have to hold it down whilst your playing, taking a way from the experience a bit. You might be able to mount it to a desk or something with sticky pads I guess lol.
If you are looking for something a little bigger, the Mayflash F300 is a great beginner option.

ArcadeWorldUK is my go-to for most European stuff. Amazon for Mayflash F300 or Venom Arcade Stick.
Also 8bitdo apparently has a fight stick that works on Android too.
I'd go with the Mayflash sticks though since I see people actually buy those and post them here (usually with Sanwa parts swapped in on Reddit though lol).

I started with a Mayflash F300
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B019MFPLC0/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Upgraded to sanwa buttons and stick, and put an 8 way gate on there, all together coming out to about 80 bucks which isnt too bad.
But this stick works well with default components as well. Although id really suggest upgrading the stick and putting the 8 gate in there, otherwise you're hindering yourself
I play Xbox One on that small d pad. I have big thumbs so this lead to many missed inputs. I always wanted to try a fightstick but didn't want to invest in something too expensive in case I didn't like it.
Searched this and other fgc subreddits for budget fightsticks and ended up ordering the Mayflash f300 last night. Good reviews for the price, and apparently easy to customize to higher end Sanwa parts if I do end up really enjoying it.
I know that there will be a learning curve, but it just looks so much more fun playing on a fightstick. I can let you know how it goes when I get it this week.
https://www.amazon.com/Mayflash-F300-Arcade-Joystick-SWITCH/dp/B019MFPLC0
Edit: Forgot to add that this fightstick works for PC, PS4, Xbox One and Switch (which was a big plus for me since I will likely buy fighterz for the Switch). You need to plug in your controller to the fightstick when using it on PS4 or Xbox. PC and Switch this isn't necessary.
I would add at under 100 USD this one.
Get an older desktop and set it up with Mame (multiple arcade machine emulator) and an older vga compatible tv, probably a little 23, 24 inch one if you can find one on craigslist, then build a cabinet for it when you can. You'll end up a little closer to $300-400 when you're all done but you can set up hundreds of games depending on how you set your controls up, and you can build as you go, maybe start with one button and joystick pad, then add another for 2 player, or keep it at one player and add a light gun, etc, https://www.amazon.com/Mayflash-F300-Arcade-Fight-Joystick/dp/B019MFPLC0/ref=pd_lpo_sbs_63_t_0?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=09M4GJ86Q3PNM3PTNQ00
You need Amazon Prime to get a Mayflash F300 for $60 with FREE 2 day shipping
Then you go to focusattack.com to get a crown 309MJ and some sanwa buttons to pimp that sucker out on the cheap
then you get tekken god prime
I'm looking for a stick to play UMvC3 and SFV on PC. This mayflash stick is pretty cheap and is the amazon recommended one, but my buddies who play the games recommend this hori one. I've used the xbox/pc version of the stick that my buds recommend and I really like it, but I want to know if it's worth it. Any suggestions?
