Adapters do exist for this purpose, but YMMV. Try this one I found:https://www.amazon.com/Mizar-Replacement-Xbox-Controller-Adapter-Microsoft/dp/B000RT2868 Original Xbox emulation is almost impossible though, Cxbx only runs a few games at medium speed
This is original Xbox. You'll need an Xbox to PC Adaptor. There are a few scripts online from other people that have gotten to work with Mechwarrior Online, Hawken and Star Citizen.

Maybe an adapter like this one would work
I found this: https://www.amazon.com/Mcbazel-Replacement-Xbox-Controller-Adapter-Microsoft/dp/B000RT2868
If it works, I can not say.
Speaking of OG Xbox cables, I found a OG xbox to usb adapter on Amazon for $12 (was $7.42 plus shipping totalling to $13 after tax). It works in conjunction with the XBCD drivers for xp and 7-10
Although the 360 cable adaptor does not work directly, if you replace the plug with an USB plug, it is actually possible to get the Ogxbox controller working on a PC using a custom driver.
Edit: looks like you can buy an adapter for it https://www.amazon.com/Mcbazel-Replacement-Xbox-Controller-Adapter-Microsoft/dp/B000RT2868
Next step is the driver : https://www.s-config.com/xbcd-original-xbox-controllers-win10/
Edit2: the above driver requires driver signing to be disabled on win10. So instead, you should use this approach: https://github.com/emoose/Xb2XInput
You can use one these https://www.amazon.com/Controller-Adapter-Cable-Third-Party/dp/B000RT2868 with this driver https://github.com/emoose/Xb2XInput. This works perfect for me.
I have done this exact thing (splicing a generic USB type A onto that little tiny me of the xbox cable) and it does work, but you’ll need a specific driver/software package to make it work with Windows, called XBCD.
It’s kindof janky and you’ll have to mess with permissions and compatibility to get it to run in windows 10, but you can make it work. Here’s the instructions to get it to work:
https://www.s-config.com/xbcd-original-xbox-controllers-win10/
If you’re wanting to use it to put a softmod save file on the memory card, that won’t work in windows 10, but you can run a VM with windows 98, pass through your USB connections to the VM, and you can use the action replay software inside your W98 VM to put files on the memory card.
Also, you could just order an Xbox-female to USB Type A male adapter to hook it up to your PC via USB without having to splice a cable for @ $12:
https://www.amazon.com/Mcbazel-Replacement-Xbox-Controller-Adapter-Microsoft/dp/B000RT2868
Or if you just want an easy way to put a softmod save file on a compatible USB stick, you can also get this Xbox-male to USB female adapter, also on Amazon, for @ $8

Not exactly what your looking for but should fulfill the same purpose
https://www.amazon.com/Mcbazel-Xbox-Controller-Adapter-Cable/dp/B000RT2868
This is probably what your looking for Mcbazel Replacement Xbox Controller to PC USB Adapter Cable [NOT for Xbox 360 or Xbox One] https://www.amazon.com/dp/B000RT2868/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glc_i_J7JFJFVSCH2Y8X2W9Q6X
Yes, there are some Original Xbox USB adapters available, depending on what you need:
Yes, there are some Xbox USB cables available, depending on what you need:
En la foto no se ve bien. Al principio asumí que buscabas un adaptador gameport a USB, pero por el color blanco del joystick asumo buscas un adaptador de controlador de XBOX a USB. Es asi?
En tal caso, en cualquier lado, incluyendo mercadolibre
https://listado.mercadolibre.com.ar/xbox-a-usb-adaptador
Tenes varios que son solo adaptador como este de Amazon:
https://www.amazon.com/Xbox-Controller-PC-USB-Adapter-Cable/dp/B000RT2868
https://www.amazon.com/Adapter-Controller-Breakaway-Microsoft-XBOX-360/dp/B007XNLKKQ
http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-Controller-PC-USB-Adapter-Cable/dp/B000RT2868 then just get a duke. Or you can make one yourself. Nothing compares to the duke.
http://www.amazon.com/Xbox-Controller-PC-USB-Adapter-Cable/dp/B000RT2868 is an adapter that will work. It connects at the end of the regular cable though, not the breakaway.
Hm, you are completely correct. I may have to pick that up along with a controller from ebay. Thanks for bringing that to my attention.
EDIT: Way cheaper here. Not sure if this one will work with a Duke controller...
EDIT again: That one probably won't work, this one would though...
This should be what you're looking for
Edit: That may be for a standard Xbox instead of a 360 - if that's the case, at least you know the name...
