I have xbox 360 guitar controllers - you'll need an adapter to use them but they work fine - https://www.amazon.com/Mcbazel-Wireless-Receiver-Microsoft-Xbox-360/dp/B076GZFLR3/ref=sr_1_35?crid=1GWZRF0HU2NZE&keywords=xbox+360+windows+10&qid=1660982621&sprefix=xbox+360+windows+10%2Caps%2C173&sr=8-35
Will have to manually install the drivers but it's pretty easy - certainly cheaper even if they have driven up in price in the past few years

Pretty sure I use this one, need to download and mess with the drivers to get it to properly work but there’s YouTube videos on how to do that
if you get a 360 guitar you will need a Microsoft adapter https://www.amazon.com/Mcbazel-Wireless-Receiver-Microsoft-Xbox-360/dp/B076GZFLR3/ref=sr_1_6?crid=ZT0VWOH5ZSPR&keywords=xbox+360+wireless+adapter+for+pc&qid=1640167031&sprefix=360+pc+wireless%2Caps%2C157&sr=8-6
this also lets you connect any 360 wireless controller to your pc.
Yes, you need to buy a Xbox 360 wireless dongle for PC windows. The official adapter is discontinued, that one from Amazon below could work but a but tricky to install on windows 10 latest update. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076GZFLR3/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_NCC91485PVBDZ4MP50RG
You can get a USB wireless receiver like this one from amazon or ebay or somewhere else.
I got one years and years ago, the official one was £25 and mine was a chinese one from amazon for £8. They function the same other than if I ever unplug it from my PC, when I plug it in again I have to reinstall the driver (device manager -> right click on unrecognised device -> update driver -> choose from driver on device -> xbox peripherals).
BRUH. Yes these are good, you’ll need to get a wireless adapter though: Mcbazel Wireless USB 2.0 Gaming... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B076GZFLR3?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
360 controllers/guitars should work fine with this type of adapter.
I have a cheap Chinese adapter I bought from ebay well over 10 years ago and it still works with my 360 guitars just fine.
you need a xbox 360 controller receiver :) https://www.amazon.com/Mcbazel-Wireless-Receiver-Microsoft-Xbox-360/dp/B076GZFLR3/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?keywords=Xbox+360+Wireless+Gaming+Receiver&qid=1656294774&sr=8-4
To clarify. Xbox 360 controllers work with Windows 10, via usb natively. You need no adapters
For wireless however, you need a Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver. Microsoft stopped making these for 360s so you'd need a 3rd party like https://www.amazon.com/Mcbazel-Wireless-Receiver-Microsoft-Xbox-360/dp/B076GZFLR3/
