If you have a lot of board feet to do, grab yourself a pair of inexpensive wrist wraps with velcro.
Your wrist are going to be taking ALL of the strain of holding the scraper at the right angle with the right pressure, and you're going to be doing it for hours at a time. As someone who's already done this before, don't skip the braces and wear them to the bottom of your thumb joint (the pic on the link is wrong. Needs to be right up to the bottom of the palm).
Your wrists will thank you in the morning when you don't have to mainline Advil to hold a pencil.

I can relate to you for sure - during my 200 hour YTT, I experienced a lot of wrist pain. We were obviously practicing a LOT, and my teacher was a very very physical/intense practitioner. I ended up using the wrist straps for every practice for about 1.5-2 weeks, and I had to sit a class or two out (and had to modify a lot of stuff). Overuse injuries suck because you have to stop doing something you were obviously doing a lot (doing too much, really).
Pay attention to your body and listen to its feedback! Stay safe and keep practicing, all will come.

I use this one and love it. You can adjust the tightness to fit your needs. I've used compression sleeves like Bjerg's and they wouldn't apply enough pressure to stabilize my wrists.
