What is Reddit's opinion of McNae's Essential Law for Journalists?

Ah, then I can help you out with the law bit. McNae's is the book to have. The last edition was released in 2009, and the next edition will be published sometime this year. Ideally you would want to get the very latest edition, since laws change and the 2009 one might be too old. You may not even need the book, if you can find the info from a reliable source online or elsewhere. The most important things to know are about libel and defamation, and what your defences are (justification, public interest, fair/honest comment, etc). I don't imagine videogame journalism is a very dangerous area, but it's good to have your arse covered, just in case.

(If you haven't already guessed, I'm a journalist myself. Well, journalism student at uni, but I'm getting there.)
