Last question for you. I was looking at this eyepiece. On Amazon. Would this do the trick for me like the gold line would for now until I'm ready to invest a good amount of money into higher quality eyepieces? It has great reviews and also has a wider field of view. I'm sure this is better than the plossl eyepieces I have.
The only filters you will need is POSSIBLY a light pollution filter and a Lunar filter (So you don't go blind), The barlow lens is a good choice and I would get a higher magnification one EVENTUALLY, You should also probably get a zoom lens like the one I use, They are very usefull when you're looking for Neptune just based on star charts! And I would also skip the collimator but that's just me.
Since this is only your second telescope I would recommend a Meade Lightbridge series, They are durable and simple to use. However if you want to observe planets I should note that most of the planets are leaving view at night except for Neptune and Uranus.
Since Price isn't an issue I'd reccomend a LIGHTBRIDGE 10"
Or if that's too much you could go with a LIGHTBRIDGE MINI 130
I'd recommend getting the scopes on the Meade website since Amazon takes like 2 months to ship.
Also you should probably also pick up an Eyepiece like this Or even a Focal extender So your life will be just a bit easier.
This is an eyepiece I was looking at on amazon.
