Does she have a shower chair? This is a good one for seniors. She might need help with transfers.

A shower chair has been game changing for me, along with a hand held shower head. The only showerhead I could find locally didn’t have any on/off controls on it, so I added a small on/off valve between the hose and the handheld. Then I can flip it off while I lather up. It’s way nicer than actually turning off the water because it holds temperature and pressure.
Here’s a link to a similar shower chair. Mine doesn’t have the handles on the side, but it’s the same otherwise. Mine came from Walmart, they might still sell it if you want one without the side bars. Also, when I looked on Amazon, I found a good handheld showerhead that has the on/off switch built in! I actually just saved that in case my current one ever breaks. :)
As far as CHG soaps, when I had to use one, I usedHibiclens. It’s harsh af on your skin but they all are, tbh. I used it weekly for a year before I finally broke the cycle of MRSA infections. I was glad to ditch it but that brand is considered industry standard here.
Someone else mentioned dry shampoo. I’ve tried a few, my favorite is Not Your Mothers. Don’t buy that lusted, that’s massively overpriced for some reason, but that unscented one is the one I buy. Most pharmacies and groceries carry it in the US.
When I can’t take a shower but feel dirty, I go with good sensitive skin baby wipes. There are many brands on the market, I d used a bunch with the same results. They also make special wipes specifically to replace showers that are a but stronger and better at controlling body odor. I don’t have any brand recommendations for those as I’ve only used them while in the hospital. They can be bought online or in specialty pharmacies.
Here is the link to the shower chair on Amazon that the hospital recommended to me. It worked perfectly!
