I constantly hear about tripods being one of those things that you need to invest in. I love my MeFOTO Backpacker. It has held up super well in rainy Japan and snowy Utah so far. At $123 on Amazon, it's about $50 less than the larger model my husband has and loves.
I thought the same way when I did upgrade from the 60D to the 6D, the EF lenses are heavier but stronger.
These are my lenses: Canon 20mm ƒ/2.8, Canon 35mm ƒ/2 IS, Canon 50mm ƒ/1.8, Canon 85mm ƒ/1.8, Tamron 24-70 ƒ/2.8 VC and Canon 70-300 ƒ/4-5.6 IS
> Yours are: 10-18 EF-S, 18-55 EF-S, 55-250 EF-S and the 50 f1.8 EF.
When I go to the city I could carry only my Tamron or a couple of lenses like (35+85) (35+50) (20+35) (20+50) etc.
When I travel, like the trip I did the last summer (a month in Vietnam, just to say the kind of travel) I just carry the 24-70 and the 20mm. Maybe, also the 70-300 which I usually leave at the hostel and take just few days during my trips. I also carry this tripod
Another approach for travels would be to carry the 20mm + 35mm + and 85mm. Small lenses.
Also, If you plan to go full frame, you would need good lenses, not something like the 18-55 and the 55-250 lenses which I think give poor quality. As I said, I would invest in lenses first and later upgrade the camera. Buy fast lenses, buy a good ƒ/2.8 standard lens, the Tamron is really good one, fast, sealed, stabilised, much cheaper than the Canon alternative plus stabilised.
If weight is a problem for you, buy a Sony a7 mkII (full frame) and a bunch of lenses and enjoy.
I got a MeFOTO Backpacker! It’s definitely not a top of the line name brand one but for a more budget ball-head Tripp’s it’s great!! Here’s an Amazon link: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00820A86Q/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_csAzCbPT39TQC
