I used to have a shitty old Accord and had to do the lights on it. There was no product I found that kept the lights permanently clear, and I tried many, including UV sealant and clear coat.
What I did find is that by spending a few minutes to apply carnauba wax like this one:

... then every 6 months when the lights got a bit dingy again I just used a small amount of liquid polishing compound (NOT rubbing compound) on a microfiber to take that off and re-apply. This is not a lengthy task at all, it's a few minutes of work, and the lights were good again. I repeated this for a couple of years, and all that was needed was to repeat the process every once in a while. No heavy work.
So you think a good wax like Meguiar's Carnauba Paste Wax would keep it from spotting up again? If it spots up again with the wax on would I still just clean it off with the vinegar mixture?
Meguiar's Gold Class Carnauba Wax! Here's the stuff on Amazon. Took about 2 hours to wax the whole exterior and polish it with a microfiber cloth.
