Mepitac 298400 Soft Silicone Tape, 1-1/2" x 59" https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ZF76K7K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_9qUyFb16V3VE4
I cut it longwise down the middle and it lasts a little longer.
This is primarily what I use. It helps flatten scars and support them while healing. I put it on as soon as my glue fell off at 4 weeks. I noticed a difference in one day. My surgeon said the top of the nipple especially tends to get raised and to keep the tape on. I think many of your questions are hard to answer as each individual heals differently. I really have no issues with my scars around my nipples.
I also have bio oil that I try to message the scars with whenever I get a chance in between taping. Not sure how much it’s helping but it can’t hurt. I’ve read the messaging might help more than the oil.
i'm pre-op but i already bought some mepitac tape https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00ZF76K7K/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_i_7PGT2SRTKSWTFXW90VRY?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
i don't think you're supposed to wear it over any open wounds, which i think the bleeding would be considered an open wound.
also i've read people wearing them between like 12 hours to one full week. you're supposed to be able to wash and re-use them also, but idk for sure.
That's great! Things will just get better and better from here on out for you.
And oof, I have spent way too much money trying out different silicone tapes, so I hear you. ThisTape (search for "Mepitac" if the link doesn't work) is what I've liked best so far out of the 5 that I've tried -- a lot of tape claims to be "reusable" and "shower proof" but this is the only one I've tried that lives up to those adjectives. I cut a strip of that stuff in half lengthwise and I can take it off and put it back on over and over, and rinse/wash it when I shower and do scar massages. I've used the same piece for a week now and it's still like new and sticks well! I hope it or something like it works just as well for you. Cheers!
I felt like the silicone tape worked well in reducing the redness and raised areas of my scars early on. I saw a post on here where a girl couldn’t get her tape to stick and was frustrated. I suggested what I used and she updated and said that she bought it and it was working good now. If you are using oil at the same time you have to have a bit of a routine to make it work as the tape won’t stick to oiled skin. So. Oil at night. Sleep. Shower. Put new tape on. The tape I used I could even shower once with it on if I wanted so I didn’t have to tape every freaking day. Just need your boobs out of the water for most of the time. Anyway. Maybe try a new tape? Also, I’d give it a good year before worrying. AND you look great NOW even with the pink scars.
I even cut this horizontally to make it last longer as I didn’t need the super wide width to cover my scars. Especially on the nipple.

Here’s the amazon link to my favorite one! Seriously, I Had 19 stitches in my forehead and almost no scar now
I second this! But recommend getting silicon tape because it is the same thing but MUCH cheaper, and you can cut each piece to size. This is what I used!
From personal experience I can tell you that silicone tape is the best! I had some scars I wanted to fade, and Ive done a lot of research on scar fading. In terms of what you can do yourself at home, the data (from peer reviewed journal articles) all supports using silicone tape! I was able to significantly fade existing scars over a short period of time, both fading color and softening scar tissue. Don't bother purchasing specific scar sheets -- they are overpriced. I recommend purchasing silicone tape like this. You can cut it to size, and you can also reuse it for a number of days. I would cut mine to size and round the edges to prevent peeling, and then washed them in the shower with soap before sticking back on.
I had 13 stitches on my face, I used this silicone scar tape about 12 hours a day and it really helped! https://www.amazon.com/Mepitac-298400-Soft-Silicone-Tape/dp/B00ZF76K7K/ref=mp_s_a_1_8?dchild=1&keywords=silicone+scar+tape&qid=1609897619&sprefix=silicone+scar+tspe&sr=8-8
i’m not a stomach sleeper, but this silicone tape is what i use on my pressure areas. it’s really helped and doesn’t come off when i move about in my sleep.
This is the exact thing I used. Leave it on till it falls off or gets gross. Like 2-3 days. Repeat.

Check out the reviews.
2 other options I can think of, ceramides or retinol.
I like Stratia Liquid Gold for the first one and Skinceuticals for the second.
However I think you should give the mepitac a shot first!
Good luck and keep us posted :)
I had scars from gall bladder surgery and used this product to help. Also I had a boob scar from a biopsy and no one that enjoyed my boobs Beverly mentioned anything :) https://www.amazon.com/Mepitac-298400-Soft-Silicone-Tape/dp/B00ZF76K7K
I thought it was all bullshit, but when my wife had her tummy tuck and later a thyroid removal we used Mepitac, and it really worked. I started using it on my scars and there was a reduction in redness and visibility. It's not 100%, but it hastened the fading by a noticeable amount. I was so prepared for it to be total crap, but it worked pretty well on us. We both have fair skin.
We used this stuff: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZF76K7K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I thought it was all hog wash, so didn't use anything after my top surgery, but when my wife when through her transition I started looking things up, and settled on this product: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B00ZF76K7K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
We noticed a big difference in where my wife put it, and didn't put it. The tape was expensive so she thought she'd only put it on the darker spots, and those spots faded, leaving everywhere else dark, but not she's applying it everywhere. If I had thought it would make that big a difference, I would have done it myself.
working out, is one but you can fill out your chest even after surgery so no pressure to roid rage, i recommend buying silicone tape in bulk for when your steri strips come off and wearing it 24/7
also for when you're more healed up, FADED by mytopicals is an amazing serum that greatly reduces scar appearance, with pretty dramatic results
buy silicone scar tape in bulk
gonna save your ass when your steri strips come off and it helps sooo much with scarring. also highly recommend the FADED gel by mytopicals

it's literally transformed my ugly pink keloid to a flat, faded and almost white scar in 2 months of using it
