Even though Microsoft isn't known for their mice this mouse can double click easily and the texture is amazing for drag clicking. My friend had it and I tried drag clicking and it actually registered the clicks. The weight though is on the heavier side but for drag clickers who don't want the mouse to move its a good option. https://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-HDQ-00001-Classic-Intellimouse/dp/B076C75X1T/ref=mp_s_a_1_4?crid=4PL5S1CR0EXP&keywords=microsoft+gaming+mouse&qid=1641146094&sprefix=microsoft+gaming+m%2Caps%2C89&sr=8-4
Microsoft Intellimouse was the only mouse anyone ever needed as it reigned supreme in the 90s and early 2000s. it's still used by pros today.

This isn't new news. I'm not sure why they are releasing a promo video now after it has been out for a while already.
Amazon listed since October 16, 2017.
web.archive.org has the main page archived since 19 Oct 2017.
Forums has caught whiff of it just a bit before that.
Same time around web-blog like sites.
Maybe Microsoft is trying to save a non-popular product?
Anything from Logitech in a similar price class is probably fine. Microsoft also makes excellent mice for productivity. They still make the Intellimouse style.
Does it need to be gaming focused?
Nostalgia Mouse. Should be built to last.
Assuming no gaming/video editing, you can get a cheaper graphics card.
