I have that. It's a usb headphone and works really well for skype calls. I brought it offline for about 2500/- a few years back(4+).
I can only recommend these b/c it's the only pair I've had that's under $50. They're decent but my only complaint is that there is no cushion for the top of your head. LINK
I use a Microsoft Lifechat LX-3000.
I know it's not pretty or some super gaming brand like everyone seems to think you need, but I've had it for like half a year so far with nothing broken, no issues, no hints of any connections becoming weak and I've stepped on them at least a few times already. just a tip, don't buy because of the brand, buy it for it's reliability.
Not a member of the guild but i'd like to give a helping hand. In my experience gaming headsets have great speakers but not so much can be said about most mics. microsoft lifechat lx 3000 headset i use has to have the best mic for its price and beats some of the higher tier gaming headsets in costs. However, not for music use, good for talking and all that but for base and movie use, i would not recommend it. For reference, we use these at my last work place when talking to customers in customer support, it is more or less built for that purpose but as i said, not that good sound.
It goes for 27$ on amazon http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-JUG-00001-LifeChat-LX-3000-Headset/dp/B000J4WPW8
Hope it helps :)
I use MS Lifechat LX-3000.
USB headset with noise-canceling microphone. This might be bulky to you, but it's cheap.
Wrong, something like this is perfectly fine (hence why i stressed a USB headset)
I've had 2 pairs of these & they work great. Only complaint is that there is no cushion for the top of your head. https://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-JUG-00001-LifeChat-LX-3000-Headset/dp/B000J4WPW8
i have the microsoft lx 3000. very decent headset, not the best sound in the world (very slightly muffled/bass-heavy), but its ok. its cheap, well built and has a microphone built that my gamer-friends say it sounds really good.
personally, i hate the headset thats are designed to look like "gamer"-headset. i'm a gamer myself, but these headsets, like the superlux hd-681 mentioned in this thread, look just retarded. they have lightning-fade control? seriously?
/edit:
there are 2 versions on amazon, the one i linked to for 30, and this one for 20: http://www.amazon.com/Microsoft-LifeChat-LX-3000-Headset-JUG-00013/dp/B00906E03I/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1438614898&sr=8-1&keywords=microsoft+lx-3000
i have no idea what the difference is, but on the 30 dollar one the controls look different than on my model. so maybe the 30 dollar one is a newer model and the 20 dollar one is older.
I'm been using the Microsoft LifeChat LX-3000 for over a year now and am pretty happy with it.
