Middle-earth Limited Collector's Edition (Blu-ray + DVD) [link]
It was announced at $799 and launched at like $599 after backlash I think. It's just a nicely packaged collection of the movies, I'm pretty sure there's no additional new content and I doubt the packaging had that much of a premium.
iirc there's not really any info about the set being released next year. I imagine it will be something ridiculously expensive similar to this set from a couple years ago: [link]
I have no info indicating this; it's just a gut feeling.
It was sold out but I was able to get one via the waitlist, so definitely worth a shot to add yourself as well. This set was $800 at launch, crazy deal for $99.
I think my plan will be to sell my current sets and put the 4k discs into this set once 4k comes out
Remember the previous fuck off Middle Earth collection?
I think they wanted $600 for it or something years ago.
I picked up one for $296 or so and got it for free. How do you get things for free from Jeff Bezos? It's not something the Jedi would tell you i'll tell ya that. (;
It's pretty dope though, even if I had paid for it proper. Gonna need to buy the 4K set and replace the discs or something.
Someone else mentioned they're available on amazon but the price is a little astronomical.
> The box set of Blue Rays of all the movies costs $800.
They lowered the price from $899 to $599.99 ... still ridiculous though
