Quest 2 can have however big of a play space as you want. You literally just paint the floor for the play space. If you had the skills you could literally build a player home for Skyrim with the floor plan of your actual home and walk around in it in-game.
Quest 2 is very good every into VR. It has really good first part, standalone games to play in VR with no PC necessary.
I previously had an original HTC Vive and just bought Quest 2 recently with the intention of trying it out then returning it Best Buy because I hate Facebook.
Well, I'm keeping it now.
It's screens are amazing for the price and that is completely worth it for me.
Also, depending on the level of sacrifice you are willing to make, you can have room scale VR in a moderately sized room.
My room in the house I used to live in was approx 10x15'
I slept on the floor with a 4" thick memory foam twin size mattress thing that I flipped up against the wall during the day and the only other thing I had in my room was my desk, a wall mounted TV and an IKEA Poang chair with foot rest for lounging to watch a movie that I pushed into the closet if I needed the space for VR. That mattress is actually one of the most comfortable things I've ever slept on in my life, seriously. Way more comfortable than any bed I've ever slept on. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B00DJ8HWBU/
I had a good 10x12' space for VR which is more than adequate.
This. Millard TRI fold. No idea why link is so long...
But this mattress is what I'm using rn and it's great. I actually took out the 3rd part of it, so it's mostly a 2-fold mattress. And my feet dangle off - I just have blankets there. Just easier to fold up.
Before you buy, MAKE SURE YOU MEASURE!
I personally use this mat when I’m road-tripping and don’t know exactly when I’m going to stop. Slept on it last night actually:

I’ve seen a review of this one. Have you tried to lay on it yet? Is it relatively comfortable? I’m about 6ft at 190lbs. Do you think it would support that or just compress to nothing? :)
I was eyeballing the Milliard trifold (4 inch thick version). It’s not as compact as tesmat or an inflatable, but I’m guessing more comfortable.

Save yourself the extra cash and buy a tri fold foam mattress like the Miliard on Amazon. I have one for my outback and it fits well with maybe an inch gap on the sides and also folds easier. It's well worth the $100 for the comfort over something like an air mattress.

Maybe a fold up futon mattress so you can store it away while you're awake, and have more room.

Millard also has a 4". I haven't tried it, but was leaning towards buying this one

We baby proofed our house with our son and didn't really use a playpen. However, I was able to basically be by his side all the time. He'll be 4 when the babies come.
However, we did purchase a California Beach Playpen for our twins this time. I want the option to put them somewhere safely if I need to run to the washroom or put in a load of laundry (split level home). And also to bring it outside with us so that my son can play and we don't have to worry about the babies grabbing every little thing to put in their mouths.
As a side note, since we are losing our guest room, we purchased a foldable mattress and a collapsable bed frame for use with guests. We tuck the frame under a sofa in our rec room and store the mattresses in our crawl space. We've had several people use it and love it.
I bought this for my 5 seater X and it works great for one person. If I had gone with the thinner version (2" it would have fit in the storage section under the rear compartment probably as well.
I sleep on a tri-folded thin-ish mattress. I got this from Amazon because I had horribly back pain lifting my other mattress to change my bed sheets every week.

Folding mattress and storage case - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DJ8HWBU/ is quite nice.
Kenriko console wraps, gift certificate/IOU for ceramic coating.
I got this tri-fold mattress. It fits perfectly both laid out and folded up in the trunk. Easy to put the seats down and fold it out.

Takes up quite a bit of trunk space. Can stack pillows on top and have a bit of room to stash a few bags. Haven't used it in 6 months, so it's a little hazy.
