Hey OP, I recommend giving something like this a read. It's quite approachable even if you have no financial background and gives you a decent idea on how not to get scammed or tricked into making uninformed decisions (which seem to be rather common among expats trying to save into pension schemes overseas at least).
Before you start with individual stock trading I'd really recommend looking into iDeCo, NISA (& tsumitate NISA) and the bogleheads approach.
