I didn't record anything. Everything was done with VST instruments. And yeah, I didn't mix with good speakers. In fact, I used these. I have a set of ok speakers, but they're broken. And I'm not going to use my laptop's speakers cause they're underneath the laptop. I will definitely get studio monitors and an interface when I get the chance.
The reason I ask you is because I'm inexperienced, and also you seem to know a lot about this stuff, judging from your answers to my questions. I don't know what "good" actually sounds like. What sounds "good" to me might be absolutely horrendous to 99% of the planet. I'm just trying to get advice from anyone that can help, so I can make adjustments and learn. I need to know what I'm doing right and wrong, because I don't know what right and wrong actually is. I've been asking several people here, and the majority have said it sounds good, then I asked a guitarist on youtube, and he didn't say anything specific about if I made mistakes.
It sounds absolutely perfect to me. I don't think anything needs work, other than there's not enough low end when the bass guitar plays and the synth bass isn't. Of course, I learned how to do everything by googling and watching 5 min youtube videos and briefly researched, but that's obviously not enough to learn.
Oh and off topic, but I just realized I named my channel similar to your username! haha lol this was totally an accident. I was going to name it "horrible music" but that didn't sound good, so I was about to go with "I make terrible music," but that didn't sound good either. So I went with Terrible Music. I guess this was done subconsciously lol
