> A cleric with the “city domain”, literally deriving their divine magic from New York
If you enjoy that concept, I highly recommend the Detroit Free Zone trilogy. The first book is (Minimum Wage Magic)[https://www.amazon.com/Minimum-Wage-Magic-DFZ-Book-ebook/dp/B07JWFDM2F].
I read a book a while back, Minimum Wage Magic. A literal god took over Detroit and turned into an anarcho-capitalist city. The outlook is surprisingly positive. The city can be dangerous, especially the poor areas. But it's perfect for people who are willing to sacrifice a little safety for freedom.
Minimum Wage Magic by Rachel Aaron, a personal favorite of mine https://www.amazon.com/Minimum-Wage-Magic-DFZ-Book-ebook/dp/B07JWFDM2F/ref=nodl_?dplnkId=6607532f-3cce-453a-b270-0e33534f456b
I couldn't put down Minimum Wage Magic. It's urban fantasy, great pacing and characters, and they're all out of college! Excellent world too.
Strange Practice is about a doctor who treats magical patients: vampires, mummies, etc. But also there's saving the world and she's maybe 30? Late 20s? Very fun!
I've enjoyed
Minimum Wage Magic
The First Colony
Sentenced to Troll
The Divine Dungeon
The Harbinger Series
Delvers LLC
The Singularity Trap
Those are generally Sci-Fi/Fantasy.
