If you live near a market that has it AND you aren't picky or you're creative with it, get some shirataki noodles. Cook it and cover it up with a sauce that you like.
Also, vegetable soups/purees are the way to go to get full. All that water goes a long way.
This was my first time trying them and I only tried the rice version. As far as I know they’re keto friendly. They’re pretty much pure fiber. I can’t say the added much in the way of flavor, they were there basically to soak up the sauce on my plate.
I bought these.
Have you tried Miracle noodles yet?
I bought 3 different kinds, Rice, Fettucinni, and Angel Hair. The noodles come in a bag with liquid, and you have to wash them, then boil them for 3 minutes to get rid of the smell and to heat them, then you dry them by putting them in a pan without oil. I don't think I boiled the fettucinni enough cause it was kind of tough, but the angel hair was amazing with the alfredo sauce (just needs salt) It's no pasta, but its the best thing comparable. Here is where I got them: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00BTMDALO/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 edit: Texture was just like noodles but has a bit of a bite in the middle.
OMG that looks amazing! How important is the the white pepper? I have been having a hard time finding it locally, but it might be time to just order some... Also, zoodles are so freaking awesome. Have you tried these?
Aw shit. I just got busted. I told you not to worry about the name being Asian... yet that is the only place I found it. At an Asian mart. :) Amazon has a cheaper pack
I use the shirataki noodles and "rice" that are glucomannan (this stuff). Maybe not quite what you're referring to, but if you dump some alfredo or pesto on the noodles it's a pretty durn good alternative. The "rice" fries up nicely with soy sauce and veggies. I'd, erm, suggest chewing fully though... the stuff comes out in the same shape you swallow it in...
Miracle Noodles They don't exactly taste like anything, and they feel a little off, but they're close to 0 calories per serving. Add sauce, a little chicken or veggies, and you have a pretty tasty meal.
I especially recommend them after you've gone a little over your calories the day before, or if you know you can't afford anymore but your stomach is rumbling.
They are definitely more of a specialty item, but are gaining in popularity! I learned about them through this sub. The only place I've been able to get them are Amazon, and I buy this variety pack.
A low cal option could also be vegetable noodles, but the whole thing is honestly so low calorie as it is that regular noodles are nothing terrible :)
Cauliflower rice is popular, I was never too partial to it but you could always give it a try. http://www.paleocupboard.com/seasoned-cauliflower-rice.html
For noodles, "Shirataki noodles" are great and often high in fibre which gave me my noodles fix http://www.amazon.ca/Miracle-Noodle-Shirataki-Pasta-Variety/dp/B00BTMDALO
I also used toasted seaweed to substitute for chips, and it often helps mitigate my french fry withdrawl. You can often find these in an asian supermarket in the candies/cookies section.
Absolutely, they're cheaper too. Plus you can get the subscription. Even cheaper if you're a Prime member.
Just got these: http://www.amazon.com/Miracle-Noodle-Shirataki-Variety-ounces/dp/B00BTMDALO/
They are good but my fav are these:

I get them at my local super market.
I also had never heard of them before. Decided to take a shot and try them out. Found some on Amazon Prime for pretty cheap! LINK

Made cauliflower/brocolli mash last week, tastes good but mushy. I'll try this next and will undercook the cauliflower a bit.

I'm going to check the Asian supermarket near me, I'm sure I've seen these before.

Totally forgot about these! Love them, just never get to the Asian market enough.
Great suggestions, thanks!
When I'm really backed up I add some shiritaki noodles to my diet (also called miracle noodles).

Try these zero sugar, 1g carb noodles Available on Amazon.
I'm in Canada so I always check amazon.ca and amazon.com. In this case the Canadian one is usually better for me to order from and it's always been in stock at the amazon warehouse.
Edit --> I always get 2 orders so the shipping is free.
