I've talked with Prajwal in chat here, emailed him at the publisher, packt.com, and received back a PDF copy of the book by return email.
The book has 561 pages and looks like a good general introduction to how computers work, starting right from binary, digital logic, and circuits. It covers 6502 quite extensively as an example of a simple CPU, with assembly language and even some VHDL. The description of RISC-V also seems good, and up to date. There is a short example of Chisel code, a section about getting the FE310 into an Arty FPGA. There is also discussion of x86 and ARM, as well as topics such as bitcoin and other cryptocurrency, automated driving, quantum computers.
Well, that's from a quick 10 minute skim through. I'll be taking a more thorough read over the next month maybe.
If people are interested I think it's worth a look.
Amazon link to the Kindle version if anyone feels like buying it instead of getting a review copy :-)
