I buy a lot of chairs for our office, and you can get some low priced ergonomic chairs from amazon, that aren't expensive or garbage:
> I swear my back issues are from falling asleep in places not designed for sleeping
At least you have a good excuse, my back is bad because i'm fat, out of shape, and inactive most of the time lol. I have severe apnea ass well, part of the reason I'd fall asleep constantly, my BiPAP helps tons, but in the end, i just need to get active and do stuff again...
My chair lasts about 2 or 3 hours then I need to stand up, this is by design (somewhat) so I don't spend all day at my desk... since I quit smoking I've found that my legs hurt more because I don't stand up and walk around as much.
lol i just flipped my chair over and there's nothing that says what brand it is, I'm pretty sure we got it from amazon though, its similar to this one https://www.amazon.com/Modway-Articulate-Ergonomic-Office-Chair/dp/B006IY89ZA/ref=sr\_1\_10?keywords=mesh+office+chair&qid=1663728560&sr=8-10
My work had really nice chairs and to buy one it was going to be about $1000. Way out out of my budget I could only afford around $150.
I asked all my friends, coworkers, family if they had a chair they liked. No one did but they all had a chair they hated and it was IKEA even people that love IKEA. I also went to IKEA and tried out chairs (they sucked, I love IKEA).
I looked at a bunch of "best of" lists. Looked at chair websites. I looked at thrift shops (check out restore on beach blvd they usually have chairs). I looked at reviews. I finally settled on this Modway chair.
I'm heavier and needed a chair with a higher weight rating, I wanted a specific seat size and back size, this fit all those categories nicely. I did not install the armrests on it. It is very comfy and my butt and back aren't hurting after 20 minutes.
I find them to be super overpriced. If you just search on amazon for (whatever colors you want) office/desk chair and stay in the $75-$120 range I think you will be fine. I personally am doing a white and black setup and I bought this chair a while back. I paid $120 for this about 2 years ago.
Only issue I've ever had so far is I lean on the arm rests REALLY HARD with my elbow and the cover is starting to crack, but other than that its been an absolute joy to have. Seat is a big thick piece of foam. I don't think I've ever bottomed out on it (I only weigh 140lbs though) You can tilt forward and backwards, put the back to about 140 degrees (back or laying), and obviously up and down.
Just check reviews. If the 4 & 5 star reviews are at least 70% or better you are usually good to go.
Good luck!
Another very similar amazon offering; we use these at work and I bought one for the house, love the three-way adjustment. Comes in a few colors as well.

Is this chair worth $300? I currently have this mesh chair and its similar just squeaky AF now and has a cushion rather than mesh butt rest.
Got that one for $43 shipped on sale.
Edit: removed defaulted affiliate link
Would it be worth switching out this chair I got for $45 after tax for this one. Main differences seems to be a head rest and mesh butt pad instead of a foam or whatever butt pad.
Look at this one: https://www.amazon.com/LexMod-Articulate-Black-Office-Chair/dp/B006IY89ZA/ref=sr_1_26?ie=UTF8&qid=1478624214&sr=8-26&keywords=ergonomic+chair

Paid $40 for it back in May 2017 lol
So I have a Herman Miller Aeron (around $1000 loaded) and a cheapo from Amazon. I prefer the cheap one honestly.
For headphones, I would be really concerned about audio lag. If you're on a budget and can deal with a long cord, I'd suggest these. They come with a 4' and 10' cord, and have really good sound quality for the price. You can easily spend 3-4x that for a wireless set with worse sound and possibly lag. Also, I've never had the batteries die on my corded headphones.
