It’s these grow lights from Amazon. I bought the cuttings just like this. I repotted them recently and noticed it was pushing out new growth, so I’m excited to see if the new leaves will look the same!
Great, thanks!
Something like this:
Mosthink LED Grow Light for Indoor Plants, 20W Plant Grow Light Strips with Auto On / Off Timer , 48 LEDs /4 Dimmable Levels, Light Bars for Gardening Seedlings Greenhouse https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QHYKZQF/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_i_18TZ5F12DM8BY42920XM
Pretty sure I recognize those grow light strips . Tried a few of them in my first build. Usually strips suck but those ones were too intense for how close I had them and were giving me light burn at low. The only other downfall of them is the light on the controller stays on all the time even when the lights off.
These are great for shelves because they come with double sided tape! They also have a timer feature so they come on and off at the same time every day. There are also different levels of brightness.

It worked fine in my bathroom! These are the grow lights I use in my house. It’s also a bathroom that stays relatively warm with neutral humidity. I tend to water them less if they’re in that room.

I have two of each, and as they are leds don't use a ton of energy, max $2/3 per month max for all 4. Both lights have worked great, the main difference being my indoor ones give off a purple/pink color, and the outdoor ones are white. They deff help make up for a huge lack of sun where my plants are. Both have brightness and timers for 4/8/12 hour cycles that repeat every 24 hours once set so no need to do smart home automation shit lol. 10/10 would reccomend.
A coworker recommended: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QHYKZQF?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share but that seems like a cheap mistake personally...
After doing more research I think 2 of these per shelf seem like my best middle-ground: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00AKKUD3Y/ref=twister_B07XG6ZGCB?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 Anyone for or against these?
Hey so I actually have a combination of three different grow lights in my cactus cabinet that I created. It has these for the nursery sections, as well as these and this for the “adult cactus” section. I also cut holes in the top and bottom using an angle grinder and fitted fans into the holes, put a dehumidifier in there and run a heater next to the bottom intake fan during the day. This results in an extremely well lit little case for them that has great airflow, a hovering temp around 95° and a relative humidity of 35%. It works very well for the cacti that aren’t in propagation containers, and the heat helps the ones that are immensely, while their containers keep them nice and moist! Overall it’s worked really well and seems to be the perfect little environment.
I have a ludisia already.
Mine is doing well enough on a dark shelf under a cheap grow light in a dark corner that its got me looking for more jewels. Good luck with yours!!
(the light is similar to this with one bar per shelf 8 or nine inches above the top of the plant if that helps: https://www.amazon.com/Mosthink-Dimmable-Gardening-Seedlings-Greenhouse/dp/B07QHYKZQF/ref=sr_1_5?dchild=1&keywords=led+grow+light+usb&qid=1619712557&sr=8-5)
I was hoping to find a way to put like a light strip along the wall behind the plants there where the curtain rod is. There is an outlet under there that is behind the couch so I can secure it away from the kids and cats. I looked around briefly on Amazon and it looks like a lot of the lights are blue/red and I was wondering if that actually made a difference or if I was just an idiot.

how do you determine the wattage needed? Do I need to follow the daytime/nighttime schedule of leaving it on all the time? It would be nice to have it running overnight while we aren't in the room. Plus the blue/pink would look awesome with my pc tower's led's (jussayin :P)

I milled a hole in the back of the cabinet and mounted the fan to exhaust the air, bringing in fresh through a 1” gap that runs the length of the cabinet on top. It runs for 3 minutes on, 10 minutes off, all day. The negative pressure this creates should be enough to stir everything around really well multiple times an hour without drying out. I’m hopeful.
I have these LED Grow Lights from Amazon that are attached to the bottom of the shelves with double sided tape!
The lights are from Amazon!
