I used this arm when I used 43" LCD as pc monitor. Worked great and could adjust to stand or down to where the bottom touched the desk. You may need an adapter plate.

Thanks for the detailed response! I am only an aspiring OLED owner at this point (gonna be keeping a close watch on 42" sales prices around Black Friday though...)
Can I ask why you're only considering Ergotron products? I don't know anything about their mounting devices but I came across them when I was researching standing desks a while back and their desks are very overpriced. This makes me quite skeptical of their mounts being the same.
When I was researching standing desks, I came across quite a few companies who, like Ergotron, are American and sell the same quality stuff you can get from China for like 2-3x the price. I naturally wonder if monitor mounts are the same. Like, could this work with a C2 42? The specs imply so. I've had a Mount-It triple arm for years and it has worked to spec. I paid ~$130 for that arm, Ergotron's is $600!!! I'm sure it's better, but that's absolutely insane.

This is the one I bought, it was 95 dollars and was last in stock 5 days ago for $95 -- should be in stock again soon. I can't compare it to others in the price range, but I went with it because of ratings, and I knew that mathmatically, it would do what I was looking for. Could maybe find something 50-80 for all I know, but, I wasn't finding it.

Here's the cheapo one, it still supported my 27". There are a lot of various options in this price range but most don't provide enough verticle adjustment for tall people and they certainly tend to be less beefy:

Heres the side view. I’m using this monitor arm.
60 x 30 standing desk with Evo Curve arm rest, basically like a curve cut out of front with an angle to it, so you're not resting your arms on a right angle. I have the monitor basically lined up with the furthest back part of the desk, and it could probably still go further back but it would hit the wall.
This arm is what I use: https://www.amazon.com/Mount-Heavy-Duty-Single-Monitor-Monitors/dp/B07QYCW5Q8

This is what I use on my AW3821DW, which is much larger/heavier than what you got, but this arm is amazing. Also, if/when you upgrade, this arm will likely handle whatever you throw at it.
It's 109, but hey, you get what you pay for.
Both monitors are using this arm from Amazon
Yea its from Amazon and it's a beast of a monitor arm.
I grabbed this for my "43 LG 43UN700-b that weighs 38lbs.

I mounted it to my standing desk and works fantastic.
I suggest this moniter arm. It holds my Samsung 49 just fine. Side View
Im using a monitor arm mounted to the back of the desk that extends out.

What do you think about this one?
I'm still going through the paces as I've only had it for a few days (a Christmas gift from my wife), but I can definitely give you my other first impressions!
It's my first HDR computer monitor. Windows and HDR can be very finicky... Some games seem to implement it correctly, in that you do not need to have the HDR slider toggled on in Windows for the games to recognize you have an HDR-capable monitor. Others, you do. Sometimes, switching from windowed borderless to full screen in a game takes so long (especially if HDR is enabled) that it may take more than 15 seconds and a game that gives you the pop-up to revert if you don't click yes in 15 seconds can offer unwanted frustration. Otherwise, enabling HDR in Windows, and even using that correction slider to improve brightness, just makes Windows look terrible. I am personally leaving it off in Windows.
I'm in NYC and desk real estate is a hot commodity. The included stand for this monitor on a medium-sized desk just takes up too much space. The monitor is heavy for most computer monitor arms, but does have VESA mounting capability. You need a real heavy duty monitor arm to hold it up. I used this one, but even then the screw that holds up the monitor itself (angling up/down) needs to be tightened with a lot of force to prevent sag. I really mean a lot - I was bending the allen wrench that came with the monitor arm. It did work, however.
Because it seem using PbP will negate some of the other positive features of this monitor, I opted to have an extra tall monitor stand to have a 2nd (and 3rd) display above this one. I'll add a picture once I clean up the cables, since I need to get much longer ones than were included for proper management.
Other than that, I'm finding the games that do support 32:9 are very entertaining and immersive to play. Particularly, Forza Horizons 4. Many others still need to improve support, but it seems there are a lot of workarounds thanks to community involvement (INI edits, memory patchers, etc).
That was a lot of rambling, but overall I am enjoying it thoroughly!
