A lot of desk-mounts have a way that you can drill a hole into the desk and clamp onto it that way (eg, this one). Usually the nut/grommet clamp will take up a good deal less space. Bonus is you can put it pretty much anywhere on the desk.

Bought two of these and they work great. The clamp holds really well and everything is adjustable.
Started doing some more brainstorming, and came across this swinging desk mount for monitors https://www.amazon.com/MOUNTPRO-Single-Monitor-Desk-Mount/dp/B07YWFPF39 . Maybe something like this could work, along with a small riser for the keyboard and mouse? Anyone ever had or tried something like this?

This one works great despite it says up to 32”. No issues at all
Something like this. I haven’t bought this one before, mine is a dual stand, but this has 4.5 stars on a few thousand reviews.
No problem, sorry for the late response. I think it feels pretty solid for the price. But I didn't end up paying the full price. Ended up getting it during Black friday for $350.. but i think it'd feel good even at it's full price.

Here is a similar one: it is very sturdy, and pretty cheap too.
Great setup BTW!!
Thanks! Here you go 👍🏻
