I have a Mountainsmith 2 person I like a lot. When you put the rain fly on there's two small vents on top and you stake the bottom of the fly out and pull it as far from the tent as you can and it creates a vent all around the bottom. If there's no breeze it could still get got and humid quick. You only really need it closed up all the way when it's raining hard though, its easy to leave the rain fly partially open to get air.
My husband is 6'7" and loves to primitive camp. He got the Mountainsmith 2 man 3 season tent on Amazon and loves it. The two of us are able to share it though he really got it for himself for when he does solo trips. It weighs about 4 lbs 11 oz.

We have yet to find a sleeping bag he's 100% satisfied with so feel free to share if you find one!
I have this tent and have been truly satisfied with it in for solo use and 2 person use. First result is $125 on amazon, might be able to find it cheaper elsewhere with a coupon. Mountainsmith is a really solid brand as well. Awesome tent!

Hey! My girlfriend (5’3”) & I (5’11”) got this one: https://www.amazon.com/Mountainsmith-Morrison-Person-Season-Citron/dp/B00452C2IC/ref=mp_s_a_1_30?dchild=1&keywords=2+Person+Lightweight+Backpacking+Tent&qid=1607054300&sr=8-30
$135 on Amazon, but it’s available elsewhere if you don’t feel like supporting them. The main reason I sent the Amazon link is there are tons of reviews to look through, and you can compare it with other two person tents.
it’s only 6 pounds, it packs & sets up easy, and it fits two regular sized sleeping pads. It takes less than 5 minutes to set up once you learn how to do it. I’ve been using it for 3ish years and it’s still doin well, but make sure you get a footprint to protect it on the bottom. Oh, and the stakes it comes with are those v shape stakes that aren’t great so get others if you don’t like those, but that’s my only real complaint.
Let me know if you need more hiking or camping recommendations!
I know this is just outside your range, but I’ve been very happy with this Mountainsmith I snagged on Amazon. I taken it to the Sierra Nevadas and a few wetter weeks in the San Juans.
This is the tent. I have it and love it. Lightweight for backpacking and budget friendly. Mountainsmith Morrison 2 Person Tent https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00452C2IC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_i_ulWHFbH7RXQ26
I use one of these for car camping, light enough and plenty of room - great quality for the cost too.

I suggest this tent a lot for beginner / budget backpackers, but the Mountainsmith Morrison 2 (Amazon Link) is a comfortable, durable, and rather cheap tent ($150) adequate for shorter backpacking trips.
It is a fully enclosed double wall style dome tent with a zip down entrance on each side. Interior space is sufficient to comfortably sleep two people and their packs without being on top of each other, and organizer pockets are found in the corners of the tent as well as in an optional overhead compartment. I noticed you're quite tall, so you may not be able to sleep with your pack behind your head like I do, but you should still have about 10" / 25cm of headroom from wall to wall, even fully stretched out, and the width of the tent is more than sufficient for two of you to be comfortable without intruding on each other's space.
Head / foot walls have mesh ventilation about from the roof to about two thirds down the wall, and side walls have zip down / roll up panels to expose mesh windows. The rainfly attaches simply through four Fastex buckles, and provides limited vestibule space when staked out.
My only complaints about this tent are the low quality stakes (blade type is a pain to drive in, a pain to pull out, and bend easily) and the heavier weight (around 5 lbs.) that comes with the features and tougher materials. If you're car camping, backpacking shorter distances, split the load or just don't mind gritting your teeth a little, the load is manageable and completely offset by the benefits described above.
If you're still on the fence, Outdoor Gear Lab has an entire section dedicated to backpacking tents, and the Mountainsmith Morrison 2 is reviewed specifically in that section, receiving a score comparable to the REI Half Dome 2 but for $70 less.
Regardless of what you pick, good luck and I hope you have fun in your adventures!

I bought this tent earlier this year and I love it. It's huge for how small it packs down. Fits my wife and I and there is room for our beagle. I'm 6'2"
I have a mountainsmith morrison 2 that I love. $160 on Amazon.
It has kept my warm and dry in a lot of conditions. I cought the footprint too, I think that helps floor wear a ton. I wish it was slightly better vented, I have woken up on mornings in the summer with a small amount of condensation on the fly, but that is in GA in the summer, humidity near 90% or higher and hot.
To be honest, I did have one night where it leaked a bit, but it was near monsoon conditions all night, and for $160ish I'm not sure many tents would have stayed completely dry.
