I thin my "designed for airbrushes" primer even with my good airbrush (I use Badger's Stynylrez primer.) It goes on much nicer.
Another thing you may want to consider is mixing the paint/primer and thinner outside of the brush cup. Most of the videos I watched while learning to airbrush talked about mixing the paint right inside the cup - but my personal experience is that mixing it outside of the cup produces a dramatic reduction in clogs. I picked up a few quarter-cup silicon "pinch" bowls specifically for this.
With these you can absolutely tell when there is a clump on the paint mixture. The silicone means the cups are a breeze to clean up, and you waste less paint too since it pours out easily.
Examples of the silicone bowls I mean: https://www.amazon.ca/HIC-Harold-Andersons-Silicone-Multicolored/dp/B00JJ5U54S/ref=sr_1_1?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1495227990&sr=1-1&keywords=silicone+bowls
My favorite boardgame accessory is pinch cups! They were cheap and have provided me with ample ways to keep my games easily contained on the table! My second favorite is a good organizer for quick setup. Finally a boardgame table because resting your arms on the edges without bumping your board is so nice.
I would love to see a dragon on the island because they're the ancestor of the cat if you've read that children's story...
And finally heres my cat playing Lisboa
